According to a report from the Houston Chronicle, sources have informed the publication that Slice will compete in the headliner of Bellator’s February 19th event. Slice’s opponent has yet to be determined.
The card is expected to be one of Bellator’s tentpole events, and will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston.
Slice’s win over Shamrock marked the first time since 2010 that he fought in a MMA bout. The 41 year-old fighter holds a MMA record of 5-2.
The Slice-Shamrock scrap was criticized by MMA purists, but the heavyweight scrap drew 2.1 million viewers.
