Rashad Evans Reportedly Wants Alexander Gustafsson Next, “The Mauler’s” Camp Responds

Rashad Evans

Following his loss to Ryan Bader at UFC 192, Rashad Evans wants to face Alexander Gustafsson next, but the latter’s camp apparently has other ideas…for now.

Evans was outgunned by Bader on October 3rd and dropped a unanimous decision loss to the powerful wrestler. That was the same night Gustafsson took on Daniel Cormier, and lost via split decision to the light-heavyweight champ.

Well, on the latest edition of “UFC Now“, the show’s Ariel Helwani reported that Evans wants to fight Gustafsson next. According to Helwani, Gustafsson’s management (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release) “said they’d like that down the line, but they’d like to settle a few things first, but they didn’t say what.”

Interesting no? Since rematches with Jon Jones and Cormier are out, is it possible Gustafsson’s hoping to lock up another fight with Anthony Johnson? Who took him out this past January?
