Why was there no fighter salary post for the last UFC event? or did I miss it?
Tennessee may not require that it be released.
I’d like to see these fighters making more money in the WEC. I know the WEC doesnt bring in the same cash that the UFC does, but this seems so low or most of these fighters. Ratcliff making $9,000 as a main event fighter on a televised card sucks. Hopefully he got a lot of spnsorship money for this fight.
Lets face it, though, WEC on Versus only draws in around a max of 800k viewers, but sometimes as low as 600k, and they hold it in tiny venues, so there’s not a lot of money in the WEC pot to pay them. The only way to legitimately pay them more is to take money from the UFC side of Zuffa to do it.
In addition to Justin’s bit, don’t forget these guys get undisclosed monies, sponsorship cash, etc…
Yeah, always have to throw that in there.

I posted this on another thread, but for me it’s all about gate to salary ration. I figure if you keep it around 2:1, it’s all good. Any deals the promotionss make with PPV buys or networks should just be a bonus for the promotions willing to put up the hundreds of thousands/millions on the risk of hosting an MMA event.
I like to see the extra fight of the night bonus. That should happen more often.
