Conor McGregor hasn’t let up in his verbal assault on Jose Aldo, but the featherweight champ continues to predict that “Notorious” is in store for a beating.

McGregor is set to face Aldo on December 12th at UFC 194, after their July 11th bout fell through, when the latter went down with a rib injury. McGregor faced the short notice replacement, Chad Mendes, and stopped the perennial contender to become interim champ.

The rivalry between Aldo and McGregor really kicked into high gear during the media tour they did for UFC 189, and clearly their beef hasn’t diminished. Recently Aldo spoke to the Brazilian outlet Combate about McGregor, and here is some of what he had to say (quotes via Bloody Elbow.com):

“My goal is to win, that’s my focus,” said Aldo.  “Nothing more than that. You can be sure I will hurt him like I have never done to anyone before. I’m sure he will leave the fight all busted up and I will leave with another victory.”

“He likes to taunt. He sees a camera and then he puts on a little show. When I appeared by surprise in the TUF house, he reached his hand out to shake mine and I thought we were going to fight right there. He complained to Dana (White) and Lorenzo (Fertitta). He said he was set up. “

Yup, the pre-fight storyline continues to get better, and Aldo has claimed before that McGregor wasn’t his brash self when he showed up on the set of TUF 22. This fight can’t get here soon enough.

UFC 194 will go down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card will also feature middleweight champ Chris Weidman taking on Luke Rockhold.
