Bowles vs. Cruz Headlines WEC 47 on March 6 in Columbus; Torres and Pulver Also Announced
WEC bantamweight champion Brian Bowles will defend the 135-pound title for the first time when he takes on Dominick Cruz in the main event of WEC 47 on March 6 in Columbus, Ohio.
“WEC 47: Bowles vs. Cruz,” which was officially announced on Tuesday, also features the returns of former bantamweight champ Miguel Torres and featherweight Jens Pulver, with opponents for both expected to be announced soon.
The event coincides with the Arnold Sports Festival and airs live on Versus from the Nationwide Arena, which previously hosted UFC 96, UFC 82, and UFC 68 over the past three years.

Jens Pulver needs to hang his gloves up and leave them there.
hes come back like a billion times talking about hows hes got a new way of looking at fighting and his styles and yet stills gets annihilated
he was amazing a few years ago but now hes not catching up with the rest of the featherweight fighters at all
I have to agree. Even though I like seeing him fight, it has been painful to watch his last couple of fights. I don’t want him to go out like a Shamrock. He needs to know it’s time to walk away- I thought he realized it after his last loss.
This is a strong card, if the WEC finds a way to get Faber on it, too, I’m worried this may be their first PPV….
