Myles Jury

Myles Jury will wade right into the deep waters of the UFC’s featherweight division in his upcoming debut at 145, as the promotion has announced he’ll fight Charles Oliveira.

The featherweight fight will be part of UFC on FOX 17, which will take place on December 19th in Orlando.

Of course, since Jury is 15-1, it’s not surprising to hear that the UFC has tapped him to fight the #7 ranked Oliveira.

Jury will be competing for the first time since January, when he was decisioned by top lightweight contender, Donald Cerrone. Following the defeat Jury announced his plans to move to featherweight.

Oliveira (20-5), on the other hand, incurred a throat injury in his August bout with Max Holloway, and lost via TKO. The vaunted submission artists had won four straight prior to the defeat.

UFC on FOX 17 will be headlined by a fight between Cerrone and lightweight champion, Rafael dos Anjos.
