I was kind of looking forward to this one. I wonder if the surgery is do to the “hatchet wound” Belfort gave him back in 2004.
I remember that fight SCOTCHYDOW. Joe Rogan said it best, when he said it looks like someone put an axe through his face. I was curious to see how Eastman would do at Middleweight though.
That was definately the most brutal cut I have ever seen. I hope Vitor becomes the “Phenom” he once was. He used to be one of my favorites. I didn’t give Couture a chance when they first fought. When I met Randy, I told him how amazed I was by that win.
I am a big fan of Vitor Belfort, too SCOTCHYDOW. Belfort is so humble. After his win over Eastman and Eddie Bravo interviewed him; Belfort got very emotional and we could all tell how much of a good human being he is, especially when he was saying religious things. I don’t know why he hasn’t been brought back into the UFC. I know he is still not the same fighter he used to be, but we should at least see him in the WEC.
I know he has a fight comming up real soon. Hopefully he racks up some wins real soon, so we can maybe see him in the UFC again. When he came on the seen, he was absolutly , as the namesake states, the PHENOM. I heard rumors that his sister was kidnaped and murdered. Hopefully now that the killer has been found and prosecuted, he will turn into the monster he once was.
