The Ultimate Fighter 11 will debut on Spike TV on Wednesday, March 31 at 10pm ET and will feature middleweight fighters coached by UFC legends and former light heavyweight champions Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz.
Taping for the series will begin in January and will last for six weeks, with the show’s cast being officially announced in February.
The Ultimate Fighter, credited by many for the UFC’s success, debuted in 2005 and has aired ten seasons to date, including The Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweights, which drew record ratings with a cast that included Kimbo Slice, Roy Nelson, and four former NFL players before concluding with Nelson being crowned the season’s champion at Saturday’s live finale.
UFC Fight Night 21 is expected to take place on March 31 and will air on Spike TV as the lead-in for the season’s debut. A location for the event has not yet been disclosed, and no fighters have been reported for the card.
