Yeah, that TKO loss for Overeem was kinda crap, he wasn’t hurt at all, and didn’t even fall down, though he did fall into the ropes. Silly two knockdown rule.
And was I the only one that noticed Schiavello was practically creaming himself b/c Overeem lost?
Overeem was not down but sure was doing a Hell of a Chiken Dance , was just a matter of that , the ropes proped him up but did not save him from looking rediculous, Great win and revenge for Badr Harri
Haha, it’s true!
pretty kick a$$ grand prix…always one of the best events of the year
Why this doesn’t do monster PPV numbers is beyond me…
It is on HDNet, for one
overeem didn’t go down cause he’s got a great chin and cause of the ropes. if he got tagged like that in the middle of the ring he’d have gone down – and maybe he’d have received the count.
I doubt he would have survived any way.
without the stoppage hari would have dealt brutal punishment in the corner on a defensless overeem. i am not crazy about overeem but wouldn’t like to see him get damaged for our amusement when there was no chance of recovery.
Hari had a better chance against Schilt anyway because overeem’s biggest advantage size/power would be moot against hightower
Hari is tough and he does not give up, I expect one day he might have a good chance in winning the K1. He does not always fight fair, but in an interview he said: people also are not allowed to ride bikes on the sidewalk, but they still do it…….in any case Hari has a drive and goal to win so lets see next years K1……I bet it will be very interesting with Hari in the ring..:-)
actually , it’s a 2 knock down rule?
i had though 3?
no?
Those who are interested I posted some of the fights in the forum section sooo ya…
Congrats to Semmy and nice of him to dedicate the GP to young man that just past away..
I am so surprised about how Sem suddenly popped up in K1 and became suddenly the master of K1. Actually he is kind of slow but being a giant like him is hard to defeat……I never expected him to get this far. I really enjoyed the finals. Too bad it was over so quick!
Would like to see Semmy against Roy Nelson!
Could someone arrange this in Las Vegas?
