- Frank Edgar has signed a three-fight contract extension with the UFC ahead of his showdown with Spencer Fisher at UFC 78 in November.
- UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture will be featured on an upcoming episode of A&E’s Biography.
- Ryo Chonan has officially signed with the UFC and could make his debut at UFC 78.
- An update on the contract negotiations between the UFC and Fedor:
According to the M-1 office, Finkelstein and UFC negotiated terms of a contract that would allow the PRIDE Heavyweight champion to fight in the Octagon. M-1 claims that the negotiations were a success and that the parties agreed to what the terms of the UFC contract would be. However, M-1 claims that when UFC sent the contract to their office, the terms of the deal were ‘absolutely different’ than what had been negotiated and that management did not agree on what was stated in the contract. This is why, according to M-1, Fedor has not signed a contract with UFC.
- Tito Ortiz confirmed that he will be re-signing with the UFC.
- UFC veteran Robbie Lawler won the EliteXC Middleweight Championship on Saturday by defeating Murilo “ninja” Rua.
- The UFC has announced UFC WiRED will begin airing on October 6th. The show is similar in form to UFC Unleashed but will feature bouts historic to the organization and will be hosted by Joe Rogan.
- Michael Bisping wants a rematch against Matt Hamill but the bout may be put on hold as Hamill reportedly has an ACL tear that could require surgery and extensive time off.
- Zuffa’s ratings outlook was cut this week due to the companies high expenses in expanding it’s brand in the UK.
- Weigh-ins for Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 11 event will take place tomorrow. Stay tuned to MMAFrenzy.com for results from the weigh-ins and live coverage of the event on Wednesday.

An A&E Bio on Couture, that’ll be sweet. I hope you guys have more info in the future on when it will be aired.
Would love to see the Bio on Randy over here in the UK but I doubt it will ever be aired over here…..anyone wanting to send me a copy would be hugely appreciated.
I wish that we see Lawler back in the UFC after his EliteXC contract is over. How cool would a match up of Lawler vs. Marquardt be? Hopefully he comes back to the UFC.
Bisping does not want anymore of hamill! in my opinion he lost the fight
Tito is a has been who always gets recognized as “THE FORMER LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP” He’s nothing special anymore as if it wasn’t for Shamrock he wouldn’t have any fights actually finished since he first beat Shamrock in thier 1st encounter.
They should just let him go, he a has been!!!
What are u talking about, he will definatly have a shot at the title and if he ends up fighting wanderlei and wins that shot could be as early as April ‘08…and that fight would be sweet w/ rampage…Tito begins champ. reign in ‘08!!
