If watched the UFC’s “Go Big” presser the other day, or have seen the highlights, then you know the event was dominated by Conor McGregor. So much so, in fact, that Nate Diaz has blasted Donald Cerrone and Rafael dos Anjos for not standing up to the brash, featherweight star.
McGregor has repeatedly said he plans on moving to the lightweight division and making a title run there. While both Cerrone and RDA argued at the event that McGregor will be getting in way over his head, “Notorious” was in fine form and tossed out several notable zingers. Here is some of what the Irish fighter had to say (quotes via MMA Fighting.com):
“I’d change your bum life,” McGregor said to dos Anjos. “I could make you rich. You fight me? It’s a celebration. ‘Conor McGregor made us rich. Break out the red panties.’
“Don’t say you wouldn’t take that fight because you would, just like everyone else up here. Regardless of belts or any of that s**t. I’m the money fight in the male s**t in all divisions so f**k everybody else up here.”
Now, as noted above, both RDA and Cerrone appeared to shrug off McGregor’s comments, even though they prompted quite the response from the crowd (and a chuckle from UFC President Dana White). But, according to Nate Diaz, the lightweights should have put McGregor in his place.
Recently the following tweet appeared on Diaz’s Twitter feed:

It would have been interesting to see what would have gone down if Diaz had been in attendance, and if McGregor had started tossing verbal jabs his way. Chances are things would have gotten pretty, pretty heated.
All this aside, Diaz is set fight Michael Johnson at UFC on FOX 17 on December 19th, which is the same event that RDA will defend the lightweight belt versus Cerrone. McGregor, on the other hand, is scheduled to fight champion Jose Aldo on December 12th at UFC 194.
