Amir Sadollah vs. Brad Blackburn Added to UFC Fight Night 20 in January
The Ultimate Fighter 7 winner Amir Sadollah will square off against IFL veteran Brad Blackburn at UFC Fight Night 20 on January 11 in Fairfax, Virginia, according to Examiner.com.
Sadollah (2-1) won TUF 7 with a first-round submission of CB Dollaway last June in his professional MMA debut, but injuries sidelined him for over a year until he return to action in August, suffering a 29-second knockout at the hands of Johny Hendricks. Sadollah bounced back with a dominant unanimous decision win over Phil Baroni at UFC 106 earlier this month, and now has the opportunity to fight in from of his home state.
Blackburn (17-9-1) went 4-2 in 7 fights with the IFL between 2006 and 2008, earning wins over notables Chris Wilson, Jay Hieron, and Delson Heleno. Blackburn made his UFC debut with a second-round knockout of James Giboo last July before picking up decision wins over Ryo Chonan and Edgar Garcia to improve to 3-0 inside the Octagon. He signed a new four-fight deal with the UFC in August, but recovery from shoulder surgery kept him out of action until January.
UFN 20, which airs live on Spike TV from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, is headlined by Nate Diaz vs. Gray Maynard and also features Evan Dunham vs. Efrain Escudero and Tom Lawlor vs. Aaron Simpson.

amir should take this one, blackburn is a very skilled fighter but i think amir is just that step better, ide like to see him fight hendricks again after this fight just to avenge that loss then move on to the likes of saunders/davis/fitch even hughes
This could be a tough fight for Amir.
He hasn’t exactly been rock-steady or super-impressive in the cage, while Blackburn is one of those names that never seems to pop up when discussing up-and-coming fighters, yet he just keeps winning his fights.
I won’t be at all suprised if Blackburn wins this fight, assuming he isn’t too cage-rusty and slow recovering from surgery…

johnboy, I disagree completly blackburn is a very skilled veteran and an all around awesome fighter……hopefully this fight is on the maincard because i love to watch blackburn fight
Im with ya gun. If this fight goes to a third though, it will be to Amir’s advantage. His cardio looked solid espeacially for the pace he pushed against Baroni. While Blackburn has worn out a bit in the later rounds. Plus his long time away from the cage wont help either.
LOL.
A lot of TUF newbs commenting.
Blackburn will steamroll Amir.
whos “alot”? I only see John sideing with Amir.
Actually he said “a lot” which is completely different from “alot.” Though he was wrong about “a lot of TUF newbs commenting” he did use the right language. Sorry, this has recently become a pet peeve.

whilst there are those thay may consider your point to be pedantic I personally applaud your view.
the queen’s english is something that should be embraced and not revered.
Sorry Justin. Never payed much attention in english class
I guess. But I guess being gramatically correct is more important than stating facts.
Nice matchup, Amir looked a handful last time out. I think this could go either way.
brad is overrated imo. I think that Amir should be able to take this. I think Brad dominates most of the fight and gets caught in a sub late 2nd rd..?
Should be a good fight nonetheless.
