The show should be focused on Shogun and not this terrible fighter.

It should be focused on Rachelle Leah and that hot little a** of hers instead of either of these 2 clowns.

Forrest Griffin is a cool and funny guy. Also he is a very good fighter. If Griffin beats Shogun, he has to get the next title shot.

We need to give Forrest more than a puncher’s chance in this fight. I think he is more than capable of pulling off this upset. I think he will train harder than he has ever trained. Did I forget to mention that he trains with the greatest in Randy Couture. Kris, do you think Griffin has a legitimate chance of winning this fight?

    • chris says:

well i know you were talking to another “kris” but i do think griffin can pull it off. if i had to bet i would pick him to win. so far the x pride fighters have had some hard times with the first fight in the ufc and griffin is realy good.

I definitely think Forrest has a chance. The UFC wouldn’t put anyone in a fight if they didn’t have a chance but I think he has a chance to surprise a lot of people. He has balls for stepping up to face someone like Shogun and even a hard fought loss could really help Griffin’s career. Too few people give him credit and I really feel he could pull of the upset next weekend.

“x pride fighters”? like Mirko and…. who? Rampage? the guy who KO’d the front man of the UFC hype machine? the “best fighter in the world”? Hendo who gave one of the best title bouts the UFC has seen in a long long long time(if ever.)…maybe Anderson Silva? He definitely should not be considered a ‘UFC fighter’ in the respects that he sure as hell didn’t get his talent while he was signed with the UFC.
“The UFC wouldn’t put anyone in a fight if they didn’t have a chance” How could you say that? Chuck and Sylvia’s record was built on bouts they ‘no **** should win’ type of deal.. both guys fight people with true MMA talent outside of the other fighter being a wrestler and what happens? Dominated. UFC’s refusal to sign top level fighters back then (and still a bunch now) just reflects on how truly poor the quality and depth of the UFC weight classes are – also how the UFC is in this game to run a money gaining business, not the ‘I’m a true MMA fan and I want all the big bouts’ horse **** Dana is trying to force feed the fans. The sad part of that is now more than ever in the past they’re way more “stacked” and in the big picture they’re lacking, HARD.

Forest is not a top level fighter – Keith is not a top level fighter.. who have either one of these guys fought that have proved themselves to be one in the past? Both got torn apart by (at the time) complete unknowns. IE: Forest crying after getting his face slugged off and Keith getting completely dominated in a one-sided street fight.

In my opinion: Chuck and Shogun should no doubt not be fighting guys that are absolutely no where near their level – fighting level, sad part is on the popularity level of the TUF generation, FOREST HAS MORE PULL THAN SHOGUN. All of the top name fighters get paid insane amounts of money where they should handle each fight as if it could be their last – the PrideFC guys coming over (mirko, mainly.) should have known to train in the cage and get ready for the new rules/rounds – It’s just sloppy when such high-iconic fighters do not come to the ring prepared. The “tune up fights” are just dumb and I do not believe in this. Needing a fight which is the UFC leading a lamb to the slaughter, in my opinion, is just NOT needed if you’re a top level fighter. IE: Mirko vs Eddie, Rampage vs Eastman..but business is business, and UFC is all about making money..damn long rant

I agree with you Kris and Chris. If I was betting I would bet on Griffin. But, if you look at the odds, it’s not like Shogun is an overwhleming favorite, so I think the oddsmakers are giving Griffin some credit for being a tough fighter. I hope Griffin can pull it off, he has the tools to do it.
