Weekend Results: Junie Browning Victorious in Return, Trevor Prangley Wins Shark Fights Title

  • Junie BrowningFormer UFC lightweight Junie Browning returned to action on Saturday, fighting for the first time since being cut by the UFC in October following a highly-publicized hospital rampage, defeating Scott Cornwell via first-round triangle choke submission in the main event of “MMA Big Show: Onslaught” in Florence, Indiana.After his win, Browning took to the mic to talk to the crowd: “I try to come out here and put on a show. If you don’t like it, then f*** ya’ll!” said Browning, according to ProMMA.info. “Ladies, after this I want two lines: one for sucking and and one for f******.”
  • Veteran Trevor Prangley, a former UFC and Strikeforce fighter, won the Shark Fights light heavyweight title on Saturday, defeating Marcus Sursa with a first-round rear naked choke in the Shark Fights 7 headliner in Amarillo, Texas.
  • Former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez, who is expected to soon drop down to light heavyweight, defeated Sengoku veteran Moise Rimbon by split decision on Friday in Russia.
  • “The Ultimate Fighter 4″ castmember and veteran lightweight Rich Clementi improved to 2-1 since being cut by the UFC earlier this year with a second-round submission of Chris Stringer on Sunday in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
