Any word on when Ryan Ford will fight again? I really liked that guy before he started to lose… even though he has 2… maybe 3 losses on his record now..
Probably next year, I’m pretty sure this is MFC’s last event of 2009.
Ford doesn’t fight for MFC anymore. He signed a contract and has already had his first fight with Alberta’s other MA promotion, TFC.
He’s actually scheduled to face Tom Speer at TFC 9 on December 5th, so you don’t have to wait that long.
And he still only has the 2 losses to Healy on his record.
Bitetti Combat 5 looks pretty good I wonder what weight Monson will be fighting at, I’ve heard that he wishes to cut down to 205, and perhaps looking to sign with Strikeforce, yet fighting Texiera is no easy task….
Rizzo v Overeem is well interesting..
Tommy Speer is a name I wasn’t expecting to see on the Bitetti card
Who doesn’t want to Leites v Leister honestly…
Teixeira is a heavy if I remember correctly. Monson has a long way to go to get down to 205, but with his being vertically challenged, that would probably be a good idea.
Teixeria has stated that he wishes to only fight at 205, I do believe that is what he has been fight at as of late,,,, And yes Monson has alot of “mass” to lose til he is a LHW
Well, perhaps this will be Monson’s first attempt at making 205 then.
Monson at 205?
That I’d have to see to believe…
It always warms my heart to see MMA popping up all over the map.
This sport can’t blow up fast enough for me, after years of suffering thru truckstop throwdowns and banned PPVs.
I hope I live long enough to see an aging Gunslinger taking on one of Ken Shamrock’s kids for the UFC-Global-DREAMforce 205 title inside of a glowing white cage in some packed soccer stadium on the grounds of the MGM Grande in Brazil…
From what i remember Monson was fighting at 205 early in his career
What would be great was if we had some of the frenZied in any of the areas where these events are dropping, so that we could get some sort of “man on the scene”-type feedback…
It was my off year for Thanksgiving in TX, otherwise I would have been at Shark Fights tonight.
