During a recent appearance on “Inside MMA“, Ortiz said that “Cyborg” had been offered to fight the bantamweight champ in December, and that the ball was the latter’s court. Ortiz used to be the manager of “Cyborg” and continues to be one of her coaches.
Well, UFC boss man Dana White recently did an interview with the promotion’s site, and here is what he had to say about Ortiz’s comments:
“To show you that Tito Ortiz has no idea what he’s talking about, we’re not even doing the fight in Dallas, Texas,” said White. “The fight is going to be in Las Vegas at the MGM. Just to show you that Tito is absolutely talking out of his ass.”
White went on added that “Cyborg” still has to make 135, and fight at the weight, before she gets offered a title shot. So, in other words, the chances of Rousey-“Cyborg” taking place this year are slim and none.
