      why yes he did and actually he had been saying that he was going to make weight and there would be no issues….

      His last fight was simply a bad cut, and when he missed v Clementi it was on super short notice, I just don’t get people making a huge deal about this… But hey whatever I guess….

    Dont know if any of you guys watched the weigh-ins but there was some serious tention in the main event stare downs.

    @jcohl
    Yah he had a bummed knee for the last fight and it cut down on his camp and thats why he said he couldn’t cut the some 40lbs before the fight. I would also like to mention that I was sincerely glad Rumble made weight. I really think he is one of the best at 170 and we’ll prove it tonight when kos forgets he’s a wrestler again.

    • Jaymz says:

      Excuses aside,cutting 40-55 lbs is not only insane but bad for the sport.

      • oldman420 says:

        He’s huge for 170lbs and when he’s healthy he can successfully cut to that weight. He had a knee injury and put on a ton of weight, that’s what lead to cutting so much. When he is healthy and only cuts 25-30 lbs he does it time and time again. It just shows that he shouldn’t take fights on short notice or after long lay offs.

        To me I wonder how this weight cutting is going to affect his future not only as a fighter but human being. Weight cutting has shown detrtimental water loss in the brain for alot of fighters. Also I can’t imagine it is easy for the body’s main organs to be “running on empty” like alot of these fighters do. Honestly I would love to see Rumble move up to 185 lbs where I beleive his natural weight class is. I also think that competition wise 185 is a better division for him seeing as their are not alot of high level wrestlers. I also think that when Silva retires if he has built a name for himself in that division he has a great shot at the middle weight title. Like i said before too I think it would give him more longevity in the sport by not hurting his body cutting so much.
