Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos and Herschel Walker Announced for January 30 Strikeforce Event in Florida
Strikeforce announced on Thursday that 145-pound women’s champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos and newcomer Herschel Walker will both compete at a January 30 Showtime-televised event at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida.
Santos (8-1), who’s expected to meet top contender Marloes Coenen on the card, won her title in August with a first-round TKO of Gina Carano, her eighth-straight win since dropping her professional debut in 2005.
Walker (0-0), a 47-year-old former Heisman Trophy winner who signed with Strikeforce in September, is a sixth-degree black belt in tae kwon do who has been training with American Kickboxing Academy in preparation for his MMA debut against an opponent to-be-announced.

When I gave this a first quick look, my first thought that bsbiz’s baby momma Guyborg was throwing down with Herschel Walker.
Then my second thought was that wouldn’t Scott Coker sign Walker to fight against an opponent he had at least a small chance of beating??

All jokes aside, I think it would be interesting if Walker could turn into a Couture-like figure for Strikeforce.
If you’ve ever met the man, or heard him speak, or saw him play in his prime, its clearly obvious that he’s a consummate sportsman and eye-popping, jaw-dropping athlete.
Strikeforce could do a He11a lot worse if Walker is able to handle himself in the cage…
