Nick Diaz is reportedly headed to jail as a result of the multiple, DUI charges he was facing, but the UFC fighter won’t be locked up for very long.
According to a report from TMZ, Diaz has reached a plea deal with authorities, which will limit his jail time to one night. The accomplished fighter was facing a much longer prison term as a result of several DUI charges, the most recent of which was handed out last September in Lodi, California. As a result of the plea deal three charges were thrown out, including the second DUI.
Diaz will be on informal probation for three years and he’ll also have to attend a course about driving under the influence.
The 31 year-old is still waiting to find out how long he’s going to be suspended by the Nevada Commission, however, after he tested positive for marijuana earlier this year. Diaz fought Anderson Silva at UFC 183 in January, and lost via unanimous decision. The fighter is temporarily suspended in the interim,
