  • Kris says:

So how is excited is everyone for the event, only 25 minutes until it starts?

  • james c. says:

    henerson over rampage/crocop over kongo

  • Kris says:

    Thanks for stopping by James.

Now that the first fight has aired how impressive did Houston Alexander look in his one minute KO win over Alessio Sakara. I think he’s done enough to prove he’s a legit contender not only by the level of competition but by how dominant he was in his wins. I will say it’s hard to judge him fully based on under 2 minutes in the octagon.

  • james c. says:

bad mofo couple more he’ll be a contender for title

  • Kris says:

Taylor Davis was really good. Davis was impressive coming back from the near TKO to win it with a submission.

  • james c. says:

kongos a dirty fighter nobody could come back after 4 or 5 shots in the nuts bjm 2nd worst reffing job 2 date 1st is silvia/couture

  • Kris says:

What didn’t you like about Sylvia Couture? I think Cro Cop probably said he was okay to continue but I agree, Kongo should have lost a point. The one they showed in slow motion was pretty brutal by the look on Mirko’s face.

  • james c. says:

stalling not improving on position w/ couture/sylvia 3+min. hamil/bisping fixed by judge
hemmil had him the hole fight. I geuss thats the priviledge of fighting in england. I wanna c rematch in the good U,S of A fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • james c. says:

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. MY MIZZOU TIGERS WON TODAY YAY

  • james c. says:

GO HENDERSON RAMPAGE CAMP IS 2 & 0 TONIGHT THE UNDISPUTED CHAMPION OFTHE WORLD DANGEROUS DAN HENDERSON

  • Kris says:

I knew the fixed comments would come in sooner or later. I actually scored the fight in favor of Bisping because he had crisper striking and Hamill let him get up. Hamill looked very, very impressive and had good striking skills but he needed to keep Bisping on the ground not just take him down and let him return to his feet. The judges see that like you’re able to take him down but unable to keep it there which will go against you. I would say we would see a rematch but it’s unlikely unless Bisping loses to someone else first. The UFC doesn’t want the winner of TUF to lose in a rematch so unless something changes I don’t expect a rematch, the UFC won’t risk Bisping losing.

  • Lee says:

I have to agree, Hamill won all three rounds. That was ridiculous. As a long time UFC fan, that was one of the worst scoring results I have seen in the UFC. Very dissapointing, do we need to just eliminate judges completely or get some other kind of scoring system?

    Lee

  • Kris says:

Right Lee and another big complaint is, even though Bisping was the winner on 2 of the 3 cards, if you add up the scores Hamill has more points which is always controversial.

Think of it this way, even though it’s a loss if fans and the UFC knows Hamill was robbed it is to his benefit. The UFC has stated before they would rather see a fighter lose trying than win in a dull or uneventful way. I am not saying Michael Bisping did that because I really don’t think he did but that same scenario essentially applies here too.

  • Chris says:

Bisping should have kepted his mouth shut in the post fight interview from embarrassment. He knows he
lost and he should make sure those unmarked envelopes are extra fat because those judges should not ever judge another match of any kind (even tiddly winks). UFC = NBA

  • Kris says:

For those who didn’t notice (I am not sure if they showed it on the US broadcast) but the crowd booed Bisping afterward which is saying a lot about the decision

  • Sandy says:

How much did the judges get paid off for throwing the fight to Bisping???? This was such a blatant display of corruption in the UFC, we are considering not watching any more. It is a CRIME that Hamill was denied the win. You better make it right, or you will lose a lot of die hard UFC fans. What is the sense of watching if it is all fixed????? It just so happens to be Bisping’s home country??? Come on, give us a break!!!

  • Kris says:

Absolute uproar about the decision eh? I thought it could go either way but what convinced everyone of it going to Hamill?

  • Carla says:

I’m with you Kris. I didn’t see anything that went blatantly for Hamill. I thought it was a pretty even fight that would go either way. I think it’s a big stretch to claim corruption and say the fight was fixed.

As far as Cro Cop/Kongo goes, those were some nasty groin shots. I’m rather disappointed that there wasn’t a penalty. As a woman, I don’t know what it feels like when one’s testicles are hit but the replay in slow motion even made me cringe.

  • james c. says:

DAMN 3 AND 0 FOR RAMPAGES CAMP. i AGREE W/ RAMPAGE WINNING BUT NOT UNANIMOUS

  • james c. says:

DANA WHITE THE STEINBRENNER OF MMA

  • Kris says:

Well said. Bisping had crisper striking and Hamill didn’t keep it on the ground and that was enough to sway it to Bisping’s side.

As far as the groin shots I thought it was pretty funny to see them replay the knees and Mirko’s face in slow motion. i think intent was the key reason that there were no penalties so even though he received a prior warning he didn’t mean to knee him in the groin. I was more impressed with Kongo’s performance than I was disappointed with Mirko’s

  • Kris says:

I agree with the UD. Henderson seemed to gas late in the fight and Rampage used effective control on the ground to really tame Hendo’s wrestling and win the fight. I was not upset with the fight but it was not the fight I was expecting.

  • FixXer says:

I havent commented all night. Good UFC though. I gotta disagree with ya though Kris. I think this is the first time! haha. Hammil won that fight for the shear fact of better striking and wrestling. Bisping got his fair of good shots in, and some of them were brutal…but Matt had the better of both worlds….he was pressing the fight and landed more. My opinion only like i always say…..but I was totally shocked of the outcome. I wouldnt calles it fixed…but I think that if it was in the US….Hammill wins.

  • james c. says:

I WAS EXPECTING ANNOUNCEMENT FROM DANA WHIT BOUT FEDOR HAS HE SIGNED YET

  • james c. says:

I WONDER WHEN THE 185 BELT WILL BE UNIFIED

  • Kris says:

No Fedor announcement likely means he is not signed BUT in a promising development Mike Goldberg stated he would be facing Randy which seems to point to an announcement coming soon, possibly at UFC 76.

  • SCOTCHYDOW says:

I feel I was robbed on the Bisbing/Hammil fight, I had money on the underdog Hammil. I feel I owe an apoligy to all of you who said Bisbing is overrated, because I may just agree with you now. Rampage looked really impressive, but I think Hendersen was a little too tenitive and causious. I really wish Kongo wouldn’t have kneed Cro-Cop in the NUTZ because Kongo was kicking his ASS and it takes a little away from the victory.

  • Kris says:

I think they will unify the 185 belt after UFC 77 in Cincinnati so early 2008 with Hendo facing the winner of Franklin-Silva. At this point that is the only fight that makes any sense because why would Henderson, a light 205 lb. fighter, continue in that division when he could be a good size middleweight in a much weaker division. My guess is a March event for the middleweight title.

  • SCOTCHYDOW says:

How bout that comment made by Mike Goldberg to Randy about Fedor comming and Randy knowing that they will be fighting? INTREAGING (SP?) to say the least

  • WEC Daily says:

somebody in another forum said it best.

    “UFC just became boxing tonite!”

  • Kris says:

FixXer – I really saw Bisping’s striking as crisper which means when he threw he meant it. Hamill’s striking was much improved but Bisping fought like a boxer dodging the attempts and attacking with nice punches. I am going to check out the fight again tomorrow but I definitely don’t feel Hamill blew him away but I think it could have been a draw.

  • Thomas says:

Dana please dont let this become boxing with results so obviously wrong, the bisping decision, hell even the fans there were booing the decision. I’ve been a fan since ufc1 but that was the first time I reallt felt like something was fixed. Bisping should be ashamed of himself for saying he won that fight. Shame on Dana, the announcers, and bisping.

  • Ron says:

Bisping lost hands down that was a terrible screw job. Cro Cop was I think nervous about taking another hit to the head via a big kick. neither guy is a top 10 fighter in the division.

  • Kris says:

Right Scott – I didn’t pick that up when I watched the UK feed of the show but I read about it and it seems like he might have let the cat out of the bag, we’ll have to wait and see. How about Rogan’s cover with a comment about Brock Lesnar? Those make things very interesting as well.

  • Kris says:

Any good fighter will act like they won even if they’re blown out. It’s part of the sport.

  • james c. says:

whats gonna happen to prides spot on FSN

  • Kris says:

Perhaps the worst thing about all of this is that the Hamill-Bisping fight will overshadow the dominant performance by Houston Alexander and the poise Rampage showed in the main event not to mention how good Marcus Davis looked in his victory.

  • jerry says:

hamill got straight robbed, bisbing got takendown constantly and looked straight beat up, anybody saying bisbing won got’s there head up there ass

  • pissedoffthatmyname says:

hamill won the fight hands down. like everybody else said.
    FIXED
    USA all the way

  • Kris says:

James – I don’t know what the contract is between PRIDE (now the UFC) and FSN but the highlights are a good filler and will likely continue to be rerun. If the new Spike deal (which isn’t yet finalized) allows for it I would not be surprised if UFC Unleashed episodes start to pop up on there as well as re-runs.

  • james c. says:

YEAH I AGREE WITH THAT ALTHOUGH I’VE NEVER LIKED RAMPAGE SO WHO OUT HHEIR CAN BEAT HIM

  • james c. says:

I DONT HAVE SHOTIME WHOS THE CHAMPS OVER THEIR ON ELITE

  • jazzn says:

” Kid it’s not your night, we’re going for the price on Bisping..”

  • james c. says:

go over to pro elite chat room

  • LoPeZ says:

Matt won, i knew that whole englad bull**** was going to be a factor, f*** that ****.

  • Accomando says:

Hammil was totally robbed, worse than Guida/Griffin.

Cecil Peoples needs to be investigated.

  • tim says:

That fight was pathetic. Hammil dominated Bisping on the ground and standing. The only points he scrored were a few counters here and there. Nothing significant. Hammil was letting him up. Those were not escaped. Thats how confident hammil was and how pathetic Bispings striking was. A deaf wrestler was letting him stand up. And he had the nerve to brag. That crap wont win him a belt. He will get exposed when he fights a real opponent on a neutral stage.

  • Accomando says:

    tim, you are dead on.

Bisping better drop to middleweight before he gets killed. Hammil made Bisping look like a b**** and then Bisping talked like one afterwards.

I was at least hoping Bisping would give some respect.

Bisping said, “Go back to wrestling” to Hammil after the fight, then the what the hell should Bisping go back to, slaughtering cows, because Bisping lost that fight.

  • Armenian says:

after seeing Hamil vs bisping i’m considering not to watch ufc any more especially ppv.why pay money for fixed fights??? ufc is corrupted. and dana f***in white is a f***in punk. i hate that cocksucker. sick of his f***in tough talk all the time.stupid ****. they just lost 3 big ufc fans that i know and i’m sure miliions more around the world.cant wait to see other mma organizations take over mma.dont buy any ppv. ufc is fixed.

  • Will100 says:

I would love to see Bisping get in the cage with Houston Alexander. They’ll carry his ass to 185 in a plastic bag. Total B.S. decision. Worst ever.

  • Sheffield says:

There is no way that Dana can say he combined PRIDE with UFC – not after the Hamill/Bisping fight last night. Hamill learned how to box, fought Bisping in Bispings backyard, and in Bispings preferred style, and clearly won every round. When the decision went to Bisping, he should have hung his head in shame. At the end of the fight when Bisping was asked to talk over the fight recap – the only thing that the broadcasters could show on the screen was Bisping hitting Hamill on the shoulder! Pride? What Pride? Dana White needs to reverse that decision, fire those judges and let Hamill take on the next fighter. (The ONLY thing that Hamill still needs to work on is his ablity to finish off a guy off once he gets him on the ground. He needs to get over being a professional wrestler and learn how to ground & pound. But kudos to him – he won that fight standing up.) From a Little Old Lady Fan.

  • Kiki says:

This was a great fight! I was so impressed by Matt it was unbelievable! When they read the judges cards I have never been so pissed at a UFC! I can’t believe they think Bisbing won that fight. Matt dominated him the entire time. Matt had barely a scratch and Bisbing was beat up! It had to be because they were in England but this fight needs to be overturned. This is rediculous!

  • Shalene says:

I agree that Hamill was robbed. He is still learning as a MMA fighter and should walk away with these lessons:

    1) Never let a fight go to decision
    2) Display your newly developed talents in rounds 1 and 2
    3) If you find yourself in round 3, forget about your new skills and go back to what you know best and finish the fight
    4) Always finish with the same sportsmanship and class you displayed at UFC 75

Fans are calling for an overturn — yeah, right. What will get Dana White’s attention? A drop in revenue for UFC 76. I will not be paying $40 to Zuffa/White/UFC in 2 weeks — I will go to a local establishment, give them my money instead.

If you really want to make a statement — don’t buy UFC76!

  • Boycott UFC 76! says:

I think the UFC conveniently forgotten how to score using their own octagon RULES!

    - octagon aggression & control (Matt all 3 rounds)
    - effective striking (Who’s face, in the end provided evidence of ‘effective’?)

Damn if I will purchase ufc 76, I beleive UFC will make their Forrest crybaby griffen win as to further rid the Pride brand. I rather not pay for a UFC “influenced” business decision outcome. Hell its not even a title fight card for the same price. I wonder if they will preserve their golden boy and screw over Fitch along the way! UFC is starting to make money their main motive over fair decisions and that totally SUCKS!!!!!! BOOOOO UFC, using Crocop to develop new STARS for future financal gain knowing he will retire soon. Boycotting (money) will be the only why to get the message to the UFC! We are not looking for UFC to turn into WWE, TNA, etc.

  • Sandy says:

I was surprised to check my emails today and find so many messages from this site. One of the best said BOYCOTT UFC 76…This will be hard for the die hard fans of UFC, but it WILL get the attention of the owners if NO ONE buys their product! HAMILL WAS ROBBED!!! This decision should be reviewed and overturned by UFC…

  • Tj says:

Ok people, I was really really supprised by all the comments about the Bisping / Hammill fight being a fix. I have just watched the fight 2 more times trying to keep an impartial score of each round. I have to give Hamill the 1st but close round, he came off with a great unexpected game plan, and showed great improvement from TUF era, for sure.
Round 2 was close but Bisping all the way, RING MOVEMENT DOESNT EQUAL RUNNING! I think this is the biggest factor in all the non educated fans b****ing about this fight.
Round 3 is Bisping all the way, and given another 1 – 2 min Hamill would have been face -flat- on the mat. Bisping picked his game apart and in total control.

Bisping won for sure, clean and as Hamill HIMSELF put it “Fair and square”

    quit yer flamin

  • forkliftman says:

Bull****! I watched it again too! No way this was a split decision! This Is getting to be like the WWE!!!!!!!!!! I AM the UFC’s BIGGEST fan but I was SICKENED by that ****ty scorecard?? Bisping won MAYBE one round…..DANA White Needs to address this or he will lose Many supporters! Im glad I didnt pay for that fight card or Id be asking for a refund!!!!!!!!! I payed 40 bucks to see Rampage knock out The “Iceman and I wasnt upset because that was real,Last nights Spectical in LIMEYTOWN Needs to be REVERSED!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • forkliftman says:

BOTCOTT UFC 76 Send a message to Dana to Stay as far away from WWE status as possible! Ive been trying to get my DAD into UFC and that fight turned him off to it called it ” Wrestling with dumbasses letting the other guy hit their face so it looks real…….” so much for pimping the UFC!!!!!

  • Boycott UFC 76! says:

Seems like Dana is trying to bring pro wrestlers into the UFC:-( His/UFC’s actions speak for themselves. There’s many indicaters that the UFC influences the outcomes of these fights, just look at Hughes vs Lytle. Why when so many other fights get stood back up did the ref let this one go to a lay and pray decision? Maybe to bring back Hughes for another TUF season and be able launch his new team successfully?
btw: I did leave my comments on the UFC website, although I doubt anyone looks at the fan’s opinions, just potential business dealings.

  • marcel says:

DANA = DON KING = PIMPS
BISPIG = THE FAG WITH THE FKD FACE.

  • Boycott UFC 76! says:

LOL Per the comments = “RING MOVEMENT DOESNT EQUAL RUNNING! I think this is the biggest factor in all the non educated fans b****ing about this fight.”

Good Ring Movement = GSP & Randy Couture
Running (for fear of engaging) = Eddie Sanchez & Bisping

  • Scott says:

Bisping had crisper punches? Not when he was running like a little b**** the whole match. Run Bisping run. Kris, throw a punch stepping forward and then throw a punch running backwards like Bisping did the whole fight. Tell me which punch is criper. Wow, did you figure that one out yet. Bisping was scared of Hamill which was clearly shown last night.

  • james c. says:

CRIDPER THIS AINT LETTUCE FOR A SALLAD ITS MMA

  • Armenian says:

i thought eastern european countries were more currupted but no.this was really worse by far. dont believe me? ask Hamill.don’t buy ufc.save your $40 for yourself.dont make dana and those currupted judges richer for making a fool of you.

  • pissedoffthatmyname says:

lets face it nothing will happen about this fight between hamill and bisping. white and the judges got their money and they could honestly care less about the fans and especially whats right for mma. hell even on their own web site they said it was a well earned victory for bisping. i will continue to support my favorite fighters and will now be questioning the ufc. support the fighters and say f*** the ufc. besides they get money from ppv events also. so a complete boycott is good and bad

  • Madman Cowan says:

Hamill not only got screwed, the fans did as well. To have Bisbings own fans booing him after the fight is reason enough to doubt the decision. Also, Cro Cop should be disgusted with the way the UFC is letting him get set up for failure, while at the same time letting no talent hacks like Liddell get noteriety for fighting bums that even Tank Abbott could beat.
Worst UFC ever, and 911 WAS AN INSIDE JOB.

  • james c. says:

yep building 5 is proof of that (imploded)

  • Madman Cowan says:

Also, if Dana White thinks that Bisbing is the real winner, let them have a rematch in the USA with all new judges. Similarly, Houston Alexander put on one of the biggest shows I’ve ever seen, Viva Alexander. Now an aside to Dana, give the fans the fights WE WANT. Shamrock Vs. Shamrock, Fedor VS. Bas Rutten, Cro Cop Vs. Couture, Liddell VS. Vandii Silva, Dan Severn Vs. Tim Silva, and Keith Hackney Vs. Tito…haha, that last one was a joke.
OH yeah and why isn’t Uriah Fabor in the UFC yet, is Sean Sherk scared, or does the UFC not think a real fighter is marketable.

  • pissedoffthatmyname says:

man have a little bit of respect for the men and women that died on 9/11. those people died by acts of terrorism. so f*** you and the **** you came out of. lets talk ufc not f***ing politics. ya f***ing ****.

  • Madman Cowan says:

I dunno about #5 James C., but I definatley know building 7 was imploded, even the owner of the building went on T.V. and said that.
I like were your mind is at tho hommie.

One last thing to all the true MMA fighers (like myself), and the fans,
WHy do they keep calling Rand Couture the oldest active MMA fighter when Dan Severn is older, has a better record, and has faced tougher competition.

And if you want to know how cro cop felt after the Kongo fight, watch the Jo Son vs. Keith Hackney fight, now thats a bad nut shot.

  • james c. says:

you kiss your mom w/ that mouth or r u an orphan

  • pissedoffthatmyname says:

have a bit more respect “homie”. feel lucky you have a place where you can be a true MMA fighter like yourself right. thats because we got the true fighters fighting for our freedom and ensuring a safe future for the next generation. so another 9/11 doesnt happen, wait i must have missed the memo it was an inside job. f***ing idiot

  • james c. says:

ufc is politics hammil/bisping is proof of that

  • pissedoffthatmyname says:

i must be an orphan, cuz im kissing your mom right now

  • Madman Cowan says:

Hey there anti american pro murder guy, which is more disrespectful letting the firefighters and first responders go back to work in asbestos filled buildings with complete knowledge of the harm, or asking questions that the majority of 911 family members are?
Are you aware of the fact that Conny Rice and the E.P.A KNEW that the toxic dust at ground zero was harmfull/fatal and TOLD the firefighters, police, school children, and workers that it was safe to go back to work. Now most of them have lung disease, cancer, or have died with the government not willing to pay for their medical bills. So don’t wax intellectual on a subject you don’t seem to know anything about.
Man I hate anti americans, I hated it even worse when I served in our military honorably as a global war on terror Veteren.

So back to MMA..Why doesn’t Ernesto Hoost,Bas Rutten,Dan Severn,Pat Militech,Robert Waite fight in the big leagues now. I personally think they are just as good if not superior…I don’t know tho I may be wrong you guys tell me.

  • Madman Cowan says:

Good point James, Uria Fabor is bad, he’s in another league at 155. I’d like to see the WEC, IFL,K-1 Heores, and Elite XC merge to rival the UFC.
    I love that Gina Carano.

Let me start by saying I do believe the fight was fixed so you know my position, but
Now sometimes in life, things are a bit more complicated then they appear. Facts can be stranger than fiction. If I talk possibilities here and start with the fact that I do not know all the facts and I am basing this on what I have read in other posts. If the judges were not hired by the UFC, If the two judges were crooked, intimidated, etc.,

  • DDD says:

    Then
At short notice, it is announced that the fight goes the other way.
Dana consults his staff and wants to go on stage and scream about it.
    He is in hostile territory.
    The crowd is drunk.
WTF can he really do, but nothing, if he wants to avoid a riot.
They notify the announcers to not talk about it at all.
If the announces talk about it the fans will hear it there or from friends watching at home over their cell phones.
By NOT talking about it at the time, Dana allows room to address the issue later because he has not publicly taken a position.

  • DDD says:

Now, if I suddenly found myself in his position I would be lucky if I did the same as him. My dad was arrested, convinced, and when to prison for fixing horse races. I know first hand how the innocent can be drug into other people’s corruption. Putting the safety of the fans first seems like the best and most important thing to do. If I was there at that fight with my children I would have wanted it no other way!

  • DDD says:

Now, I want a clear simple solution to this all too, but sometimes it is just not that way and you cannot have what you want.
To all of you stating the UFC being dead, me being one of them, and that you will never pay per view again
I know you are mad, but give them a few days to get back to the USA, their phone says they will be back on Monday, and let’s see what they do.

  • DDD says:

I called them once, a while back, after seeing UFC on TV and it displaying a banner saying UFC Fight Night Live. I watched the whole program to get to the end thinking it was live, only to find out it was not, and there was no disclaimer saying it was not. It really pissed me off because I was ahead of it with PPV and wasted my night. They took my call politely and believe it or not, they actually fixed the problem. I think it was pretty cool I was able to not only get Dana’s office on the phone, but that they took my comments seriously. I feel they have earned at least, at this point, my patience.

  • DDD says:

What happens from here on out will “hopefully” help us all really understand it.
Please be patient with me. We have seen many of these fighters suffer pretty bad and it would be a shame to see it all go to waste over them avoiding a riot where many people could have died.

PS. Mark let Mike almost up every time. I suggest you watch the fight again if you have any doubt. He let him up just to show him dominance and then took him back down again. No one could reasonably believe otherwise. It makes me suspicious of the posters that say differently. I think they have an agenda they are trying to carry out. Either way, the UFS has lost, 50% of their fans and probably closer to 80%. They can only gel them back by taking the proper action. What that is, I do not know, but it better happen quick or we will never tune in to see the correction later.

I am not arguing that Hamill let Mike up as that was pretty clear but Octagon control is not letting someone up. It’s taking them down, controlling them, and using effecting attacks from the mount. Hamill took him down on will but him allowing Bisping back up hurt him on scorecards despite the takedowns.

Also if your comment does not appear immediately it does not mean I rejected it. We have spam filters in effect that often catch legitimate comments by mistake. Submitting your comments once is fine and they will appear soon enough. If you have written something that doesn’t appear after a day send me an email.

Those of you who are saying you don’t see how Hamill could have won, just look at your guy’s face. Hes completely beat up. Thats because Hamill chased him around the wring, beating the hell out of him.
