UFC 105 Weigh-In Results: All Fighters Make Weight
All 22 UFC 105 fighters, including headliners Randy Couture and Brandon Vera, successfully made weight on Friday for Saturday’s event at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England.
Both Couture and Vera tipped the scale at 204 pounds, while welterweight contenders Mike Swick (170) and Dan Hardy (171) and middleweight notables Michael Bisping (186) and Denis Kang (185) also made weight without issue.

I think that dan Hardy is trying too hard to get into Swick’s head instead of actually focusing on the fight itself because the truth is that he hasn’t got into Swick’s head at all like he did with Marcus Davis, so Dan Hardy better be ready because Swick is taller faster and more well rounded than Hardy and also has ko power with a decent ground game and subs to go with it where as Hardy has ok striking and decent boxing but zero Wrestling as UK guys are not known to be skilled in Wrestling, Hardy also doesn’t have the greatest ground game either.
Swick knows what’s at stake and he knows that he can take the fight to the ground if he wants but Hardy only his a punchers chance which to be fair is a pretty good chance because Hardy does have ko power in both hands but he won’t be able to locki in a Muay Thai clinch on Swick the way he did with Davis because Swick is no Marcus Davis, Swick isn’t the greatest fighter out there but his stand-up is sharper and overall better than dan Hardy’s sooo instead of handing out Runner-Up Gifts to Swick, Dan Hardy better have trainined his a$$ off for this fight or else Swick’s hands speed will be too much for him, i’m not saying that Swick’s stand-up is amazing just that it’s a lot better than dan Hardy’s which is at best just decent.
Michael Bisping better play this fight as safe as possible because he cannot afford not only to lose but gt finished again being that he does have some pressure going into this fight being the UK Poster Boy and fighting in the UK while having the added pressure to live up to undeserving hype while trying to avoid getting emberrassed in front of his supporters. Bisping needs to use his speed to get in and out and try and pick Kang apart because Kang isn’t as fast as Bisping and doesn’t have as good of footwork as Bisping does so he needs to use that to his advantage. Kang is more powerful, more experienced and way more well rounded than Bisping so Bisping better be on his game and try and stay away from Kang’s power and avoid the ground at all costs because Bisping has zero wrestling ability and no sub skills where as Kang does. Bisping needs to win this fight or else he’ll lose his Poster Boy UK status possibly to Dan Hardy,he’ll lose the little street cred he has left and will be looked at as another guy who was overhyped and won’t be important at 185 not that he is now but he’s knocking on that door.

Dude the kang vs bisping stare down at the weigh ins and the hardy vs swick stare down at the weigh ins gave me goosebumps! Both fights are going to be ****ing sick dude! Blood seriously boiling between those guys!
I love how bisping walks around the weigh ins as if he’s “the man” and he “knows” everyone hugging dana high fiving rogan,…dude you’re not Daniel Craig or david beckham. I have to be honest and say that i can’t wait for dennis kang to knock bisping out and whoop on him. I though i was satisfied when hendo ko’d him but i guess i’m not. Bisping just simply bothers me and watching him get his ass kicked will never get old.

Yeah dude i know. I was pissed after kang got subd by belcher. Kang was seriously whoopin on belcher and then he just got caught! I doubt bisping’s jj is as good as belchers though.

Couture via BEAT DOWN,then he will put up a good run for the title!!!
Couture has a very good chance of winning this fight but a run for the title is highly unlikely while guys like Shogun,Thiago Silva,Machida and Evans are around. Couture can still have some great fights with some guys at 205 but a title shot is out of the question and i say that as someone who greatly admires and respects Randy, but the truth is a title shot will not happen unless he beats Vera and gets an immediate shot but otherwise no title shot in the near future at 205 for Randy.
Not to mention that Couture himself has said that he’s fighting these days for his love of competition, and to better secure his family’s future, which translates to, “I want a few fat paychecks before bouncing to the old MMA fighter’s home”.
And IMO the only way Couture gets a 205 title shot is if Lyoto Machida decides he wants to test himself against a Hall of Famer and possibly pick up some major bank in the process.
Although you’ve got to admit that Paino’s heart is in the right place…
I disagree with those that say Bisping has no wrestling. He has pretty good wrestling with good hip escapes and reversals. Bisping has fought some of the greatest wrestlers in the UFC and He is really good at slipping out the back door and getting back up to his feet after being taken down. And Bisping has 4 submission wins on his record while never being submitted himself..Sooooooo you tell me????
I agree with you that he is evasive. Don’t know if I would call it slipping, more like running away from the fight if you ask me. That’s just my opinion though and I have strongly disliked this guy since the Hamill fight and this dislike was amplified on the last TUF, so my opinion is rather biased. Any guy who admits he was trying to win by “decision” like Bisping did in his fight vs Leben, gets no love from me. I hope he slips again, right into another big right hand knockout punch.

I just hope randy can close the distance and bring vera into his world with a little dirty boxing and wrestling.If not randy’s gonna be in for a long night,eating vera’s jab and kicks.I have faith in randy though.He’s always been one of the best in the game at divising and executing a stratergy.randy by decision.
