Mark Cuban, the latest entrant in the chase to sign Fedor Emelianenko, has hired former UFC champion Guy Mezger to head up his MMA project:

Cuban has hired MMA veteran Guy Mezger to run the day-to-day operations of his MMA project, and will rely on Mezger to handle tasks such as talent evaluation.

“We have already started,” Cuban said. “Our first hire was Guy Mezger, who will be responsible for managing fight cards, attracting and signing fighters.”

Mark Cuban is a smart guy and it seems like a good hire.  I don't know anything about Mezger's experience regarding the business aspect of MMA, but I think Cuban knows what he wants and as I said earlier; it seems like a good hire.
