Strikeforce Signs DREAM Welterweight Champ Marius Zaromskis
Strikeforce announced on Saturday that it has signed DREAM welterweight champ Marius “Whitemare” Zaromskis to a multi-fight contract, with his debut likely to come at the promotion’s December 19 event in San Jose, California.
As part of an alliance formed between DREAM and Strikeforce earlier this year, Zaromskis will continue to fight for both organizations.
Zaromskis (13-3) won the welterweight title in July with back-to-back head kick knockouts of Hayato “Mach” Saturai and Jason High at DREAM 10, then returned to action last month with a 19-second head kick KO of Ho Bae Myeon in a non-title bout at DREAM 12. Two of Zaromskis’ three career losses came against Che Mills in England’s Cage Rage, where he competed seven times between 2006 and 2008 before joining DREAM earlier this year.

akuma coming to strikeforce sick. i said sign him to fight fitch but strikeforce allows him to fight wit dream and do his crazy backflip stomps and his dark hadou.
Some knew of this signing a few days ago and now it is official and with the co~promotions between FEG/Strikeforce “Whitemare” will stay pretty active, a possible showdown between Heiron or Diaz would be nice I don’t believe that he should be fed someone heck he is the DREAM WW champ and all, it is pretty cool that he might debut in San Jose in December
fr i kno if strikeforce is in san jose ull probably b there which means i expect some sick pictures. strikeforce is on showtime now right? i gotta start gettin showtime. my friend keeps tellin me to watch weeds and now wit whitemare i gotta look into gettin it. id love to see akuma smash diaz or shields if he drops back down. or mayb scott smith or duane bang ludwig. both fights would have some big banger type fireworks.
As many know I have tried to go to most MMA that has been here in California this year…. And yes if the Dec 19th card happens for Strikeforce in San Jose I will most likely be there too, Strikeforce is on Showtime now and perhaps you should get the channel, that is up to you.. For those who do have Showtime remember that this Friday is a Strikeforce Challengers series with some good fights on the card, I only plug it because well its in my hometown (hopefully not as big of a dissapointment as the first show {fan turnout wise}) and me and my friends will be fourth row, so ya I’m kinda pumped… And the next WEC in Sacramento I would guess I will be going to that one too, whynot I’ve been to every WEC in Sacramento so far whynot this one
As much as I like Whitemare, and am bored to tears by Jay Heiron’s sh!t-awful “stall and crawl” technique, I think Heiron wins an yawn-tastic UD against Whitemare, who would most likely spend the majority of the fight on his back or unsuccessfully fighting off takedowns.
Nick Diaz, on the other hand, if he could pass the licensure drug screening, could make for a great fight…
zaromskis is good but there is no way he’ll ever beat any of Ceasar Gracie’s guys. He’s years away from being able to beat one of them. All he does is freakin high kick and people think this guy is a god.
if he goes against shields or diaz he’s gonna lose for sure. Strikeforce is going to protect their investment and put him up against better than average people. I’d say put him up against someone who sucks like scott smith and let them bang it out see if he’s legit or not.
I love watching Scott Smith getting beat up for some reason.

Awesome i cant wait to see if this guys hype is for real or not….hopefully strikeforce can put some tough tests against him……..the ufc should pick up che mills just incase marius gets big in strikeforce so they can hype up that che mills has already ko/tko’d lil cro cop twice…then that will heat lil cro cop up and make him want to fight che mills in the ufc

Che Mills had his chance to fight in the UFC, but he couldn’t make it.
I think with the growing confidents on Zaromskis side he will be finally able to get “W” if he fight Che Mills again.
Zaromskis defiantly has some really good standup game, but I need to see him against somebody who is good on the ground to make my final statement against the guy.
Anyways I think it’s really good deal for both Strikeforce and Marius and I hope seeing him doing well under Strikeforce banner.
He is exiting fighter to watch and a top contender for the High Kick crown since Cro Cop left the building
