Houston AlexanderA previously-reported matchup between Houston Alexander and Kimbo Slice has reportedly been agreed upon by Alexander for The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale on December 5 in Las Vegas and will apparently be contested at a 215-pound catchweight, according to NWITimes.com.

According to the report, Slice and Alexander were to meet at the 205-pound light heavyweight limit, but Slice, who weighed in around 230 pounds for his TUF 10 loss to Roy Nelson, was unable to reach the mark, and they’ve instead agreed to the heavyweight catchweight.

The UFC has yet to announce the fight, which will be featured on the Spike TV-televised main card, and likely won’t do so until the conclusion of the season.

Nice……..this fight won’t last more than 2-minutes. I even see a 30-second knockout…by who? Whoever lands the first punch, because both have shown to have glass-jaws…..but they can throw hammers!

  • MANNY says:

NOT HOUSTON PUT HIM AGAINST JARDINE

  • mmaman says:

i’m kinda excited cause i dont know who i want to see get knocked out. I’ll be honest, i kinda liked kimbo based on season 10…

I do like when Houston loses though too, especially his lost against Red, that was hilarious.

I’m gonna say Kimbo is gonna win.

  • MANNY says:

i gonna say that kimbo knocc out houston in the 1st round

  • NicKageB says:

I want Kimbo to win but unless he gets some variety to his stand-up I think Houston will get him. He has a decent clinch and I don’t think Kimbos had to deal with that yet.

  • bigj93 says:

kimbo is training hard at american top team and i have faith he has rounded out his game enough to beat a one dimensional fighter like houston alexander

    Kimbo by 1st round KO

  • huertarogerhuerta says:

cant wait to see wat those animals at american top team have been able to tweak in kimbos game. or more specifically his ground game. if either of these guys were smart theyd take the other down and exploit there weak ground game. ill go kimbo by tko rd 1 or early rd 2 by some ugly GnP.

  • Mr President says:

Did anyone see Houston’s last fight? He destroyed the guy with some vicious leg kicks. I predict the fight will end in similar fashion. Kimbo will go down after a few well planted leg kicks and Houston will finish him there.

  • sempeckx2 says:

If houston loses this he needs to quit represnting NE.

  • Markus J says:

Of all the heavyweight fighters in the heavyweight division they need to bring up a light heavy and fight at a catch weight to accommodate Kimbo Slice’s UFC debut? Give me a break.

Don’t losers from TUF usually square off against each other at TUF finale?

I wonder if Houston is getting a “stand-up” and fight bonus for this fight if he agrees to keep it standing. lol.

All of that aside, I see Kimbo getting KO’d in the first round. If he manages to KO Houston Alexander, I hope to god that is it for Houston Alexander in the UFC.

  • jcohl says:

I think I recall posting yesterday about this fight being catchweight…

  • GarRule says:

    Alexander, KO, round 1…

At least Houston has a track record. Kimbo’s best moment was connecting a punch with Roy Nelson. Everyon’e saying things like “Kimbo’s been working on different aspects of his game…” I’m sure Houston Alexander is, too!

Experience factor goes to Alexander. I fell bad for Kimbo, as I’ve grown to like him as well. He’s going to look REALLY band.

  • Bottumzup says:

Maybe the Kimbo that crushed that guy’s eye socket named “Big D” on YouTube would beat Houston. But I don’t see the “new and improved” Kimbo beating Houston at this point. IMO it doesn’t seem like he has that fire anymore (and I’m not just saying that b/c we all see he’s a genuine good dude on the show) And for all of you who think that Houston is gonna stand & bang with Kimbo you’re all wrong. Houston is gonna focus on the Muay Thai clich & work the knees & on the outside he’s gonna throw leg kicks & occasionally bang…

  • Gunslinger says:

I gotta say both guys are cool but i gotta choose houston as who i want to win based soley on the fact that houston needs the money and the win more than kimbo does…houston is a single dad with four kids, he actually needs the money…..Kimbo with or without the ufc can get plenty of money with just his drawling power alone

  • ONLYTRUE1 says:

    Mr. President and Bottumzup

I gotta agree with yall on this one. Houston is not gonna come out guns blazing on this. He is gonna try Muay Thai and Leg Strikes all day and maybe even take Kimbo Down!!!! WATCH and see. He wants to win and he Knows he could easily get KO’d by Kimbo!!

I love both these guys and want both to succeed but this fight wont go to the 3rd at all..

    Kimbo by KO

Houston by leg strikes then GnP KO

  • Shaun says:

hope houston has learned head movement and I’m pretty sure with Kimbo training at ATT that he has learned to check leg kicks.

    Kimbo in 1st round.

Houstons head will be found somewhere in the 4-7th row.

  • Joe NJ says:

Like Dana White has often said, “no body gets easy fights in the UFC”!
This is a very dangerous fight for Kimbo.
This breaks down to who lands first and who can take the better punch.
Kimbo is a dynamite guy who deserves our respect for coming into MMA from the streets. Alexander, a likeable family guy is deserving of the opportunity to make money and support his family.
This may come down to who is able to handle to “catchweight” situation.
Does Kimbo lose anything coming down or does Alexander lose something coming up.
Alexander is a big dude who, in this particular fight might have the edge in the weight factor. He might come in a little stronger.
I like them both, but am a huge Kimbo fan.
    May the best man win.
