Although Carlos Condit hadn’t fought in over a year, the welterweight looked like his old “Natural Born Killer” self tonight at UFC Fight Night 67.
Condit took on fellow welterweight contender Thiago Alves, and in round two, he dropped the latter with a beautifully timed elbow. Condit swarmed on Alves, and proceeded to land punches and elbows from above and turned the latter into a bloody mess. Alves briefly threatened with a choke, but Condit escaped and resumed his attacks.
Alves managed to make it through the round, but after his badly broken nose was examined by the doctor, the headliner was stopped.
The victory marked the first time Condit had fought since last March, when he injured his knee while fighting Tyron Woodley and lost via TKO.
With the win, Condit improved his record to 30-8, while Alves saw his fall to 21-10.
