Whenever Ronda Rousey has microphones in front of her you can usually count on some headline grabbing material, and at a recent Q & A session, that trend continued.
Rousey recently attended a function which was held by the Wall Street Journal, and during it, she was asked about who her dream fight is. The 28 year-old was told to think in completely hypothetical terms, as in no restrictions, we all know this will never actually happen, type stuff…
Well, here is what Rousey had to say (quote via MMA Fighting.com):
“Does size count? Could we just go from anybody’s skills? Like dream match. Skills-wise, I would love to see where I would go with [former light heavyweight champion] Jon Jones because he’s the one most able to improvise within a match, which is something I really pride myself on. I think we’d do some crazy ninja stuff.”
How about that huh? Rousey didn’t go with Cris “Cyborg” or even her male counterpart, UFC bantamweight champ TJ Dillashaw. Go big or go home right?
Now, Rousey also mentioned someone she’d like to face for the ‘annoying’ dream fight category. The name likely won’t shock you.
“And then Bryan Caraway’s really annoying. It would be fun to beat him up, but plenty of other people have gotten that pleasure before me, apparently.”
Caraway is the partner of Miesha Tate, who has you probably know, isn’t Rousey’s favorite person on the planet.
Rousey was also asked about Laila Ali, who as you may recall, buzzed the MMA world earlier this year when she said she could defeat the UFC champ. Rousey said she wasn’t upset by the former boxing champ’s comments, since she understands that Ali believes she’s the best in the world. Rousey also noted that she believes she can defeat any woman on the planet as well…
“Rowdy” is scheduled to fight Bethe Correia on August 1st at UFC 190. The bout will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
