Much of the spotlight for UFC 187 is focused right on its title fights, and for good reason, but one of the card’s gems is the flyweight bout between John Dodson and Zach Makovsky.
The bout is compelling not only because of the participant’s abilities and contender status, but because it will mark the first time Dodson has fought since last June.
Following Dodson’s stoppage win (due to a cut) over John Moraga, there was a lot of talk that the Jackson-Wink MMA fighter could challenge champion Demetrious Johnson for a second time. All that went away, however, after Dodson injured his knee.
In advance of Dodson’s return this Saturday, the UFC has posted an interesting segment titled “The Art of the Gameplan“, which features the flyweight and his renowned coach, Greg Jackson.
