UFC 187 is just a few days away, and finally, after three postponements, middleweight champ Chris Weidman will battle Vitor Belfort (knock on wood).
Belfort locked up a title shot way back in 2013, by bombing out Luke Rockhold, Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson. But, due to the NSAC’s ban on TRT, and a couple of injuries to Weidman, “The Phenom’s” had to wait for his shot at the gold.
Weidman, meanwhile, will be looking to defend the belt for a third time. After the “All American” stopped Anderson Silva for a second time in December, 2013, he went on to decision Lyoto Machida last July.
