Well, good for the ufc i guess. But i think i speak for most people esspecially on this sight that it’s a no brainer wich fight we’ll be watching.

Casual fans, who are greater in number, will be watching the UFC show. Casual fans are WAY more familiar with names like BJ Penn, Randy Couture, and NY Times bestselling author Forrest Griffin than they are with Brett “Who?” Rogers and the only living survivor of a charisma bypass, Fedor.

Dana knows this, which is why he counter-programs accordingly.
More legit fans will of course be tuning in to Strikeforce, but when the numbers come out don’t be surprised if the UFC matches or passes Strikeforce’s, even with the “bestest MMA fighter ever in the history of ever!!!” on the card…
      ;)

Not sure they will pass them, Strikeforce is on CBS and the UFC thing is on Spike. Availability alone gives Strikeforce a huge head start, then there’s that whole “live” thing.

  • Wow! good move by the UFC to counter program but to be honest i’m still going to check out the StrikeForce event because that is a super bada$$ card and since i’ve already seen all the UFC fights that will be featured i kinda don’t care that they will be showing them but this counter by the UFC will for sure take some viewers from StrikeForce because the truth is that most casual fans and just people in general problably are not even aware of StrikeForce’s event.

Couldn’t agree with you more jcohl, and i love the emphasis on the ever.funny stuff.

This is a great way to counter strikeforce. Hell there are some fights on the UFC counter program i’d rather see again than watch some of strikeforce.

Good move by the UFC. Casuals will watch the ufc for sure but uber hardcores like myself will check out rogers upset over fedor.

      • gibor says:

I’M TIRED OF ALL THE CHANGES WITH FEDOR. HE WILL, HE WONT HE WILL…
i give zero chance to fedor’s opponent.

      • gibor says:

any competition 4 ufc is a good thing 4 the sport.
i’d like to see many more small events fighting agnst each other with the winners going national.

  • Crmtde13 says:

I can’t wait to see the guy at the plasma place **** a brick when fedor loses.

  • xStevex says:

I would think most of the people who use this website have already seen every main event that they could possibly put up at least once if not more than that lol

  • russiandoeboi says:

i do sense that fedor fans are nervous.

brock still looks inferior to mir in terms of striking and other skills usually deemed important in mma – yet he trumped all that into oblivion against mir and probably would in another rematch.

i gotta admit i’m curious as rogers seems to have a possible trump card. i’m also guessing he wont waste his opportunity on an approach like sylvia and try to keep fedor a bay with any jabs

i’d still prefer it was lesnar or carwin or overeem or gonzaga or mir or nog

yea your right 5 min max with rogers losing any punchers chance past 30 secs
