Chris Horodecki vs. Anthony Njokuani, Damacio Page vs. Takeya Mizugaki Added to WEC 45
A lightweight matchup between WEC newcomer Chris Horodecki and Anthony Njokuani and a bout between bantamweight contenders Damacio Page and Takeya Mizugaki have been added to WEC 45 on December 19 in Las Vegas, according to reports from MMAjunkie and Sherdog.
Horodecki (13-1) fought in June for the first time since the collapse of the IFL, earning a first-round knockout of William Sriyapai for his second-straight win after suffering his first career loss to IFL champ Ryan Schultz in late-2007. Njokuani (11-2), whose only career losses were to top WEC lightweights Donald Cerrone and Ben Henderson, is coming off back-to-back WEC wins over Bart Palaszewski and Muhsin Corbbrey.
Page (12-4) improved to 3-1 in the WEC with stoppages of Marcos Galvao and Will Campuzano in his last two fights, with his only loss coming to bantamweight title-holder Brian Bowles. Mizugaki (12-3-2) rebounded from a loss to then-champion Miguel Torres with a narrow decision victory over Jeff Curran in August.
