Mike Pyle vs. Jake Ellenberger Added to UFC 108
Welterweights Mike Pyle and Jake Ellenberger will square off on the UFC 108 preliminary card on January 2 in Las Vegas, with MMAjunkie reporting on Wednesday that the matchup has been verbally agreed upon and is expected to be finalized soon.
After losing his UFC debut to Brock Larson in May, Pyle (19-6-1), a former IFL, EliteXC, Strikeforce, Affliction and WEC fighter, evened his UFC record at 1-1 with a third-round submission of Chris Wilson in September at UFC Fight Night 19.
Ellenberger (21-5) is still seeking his first win inside the Octagon after dropping a narrow split decision to Carlos Condit at UFN 19 last month.
The pay-per-view UFC 108 event is expected to be headlined by middleweight champ Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort and is also reported to include Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva and Carlos Condit vs. Paul Daley.

I hope Ellenberger can get the win, and think he will.
He’s going to blow Pyle away with punches.
I was extremely impressed with Ellenberger vs Condit I think he’ll get the W
If Ellenberger can solve his cardio problem then he could easily be a top ten WW maybe even top 5 in no time.
Anyone who dissagree’s just look at what he was doing to Condit before he gassed. Condit proved in his fight with Kampman that they are both pretty equal fighters at this point in their careers. And in alot of peoples WW top ten both guys are there.
Jake has the size streangth KO power and wrestling to deal with just about anybody(besides GSP) at 170lbs. I see an easy win for him here against a struggling Pyle.
Ellenberger has a lot of potential, and I’d like to see that potential realized with a strong finish, and a win…
