Jeff Curran Fights Sam Thao on Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers Prelims
Former WEC featherweight and bantamweight contender and recent Strikeforce signee Jeff Curran will make his Strikeforce debut against Sam Thao on the undercard of “Fedor vs. Rogers” on November 7, according to Five Ounces of Pain.
The CBS-televised event takes place at Hoffman Estates, Illinois near Chicago and is headlined by Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers.
Curran (29-12-1), who signed a multi-fight, non-exclusive deal with the promotion earlier this week, has lost four-straight to notables Urijah Faber and Mike Brown at featherweight and Joseph Benavidez and Takeya Mizugaki at bantamweight.
Thao (4-1) suffered the first loss of his career last July before rebounding with a second-round knockout in May.

ribbit…ribbit…
Good luck to Curran, god knows he could need his fights have been brutal and against tough guys.
he could need it*
I hope Rogers finds Fedor like he found Arlovski.
Fedor is vastly overrated IMO and I’m tired of hearing how he is the greatest. He is good, but not the best. He has wins against a who’s who of mediocre fighters with very few exceptions.
please for the love of god no more Fedor sucks/rules threads… this article is about la grande grenouille…
Good call, lets try to keep this one about Curran.
Sorry, I lose my mind when I see the name.
Word of advice.
I tried making the point stick about Fedor, but the frenZy is at the saturation point with the man. Those that think he’s a past-his-prime paper champion aren’t going to change their mind until he proves otherwise, and those that worship the ground that Fedor’s sweat drops onto aren’t going to change their POV that he’s the “bestest MMA fighter ever in the history of ever!” until otherwise is proven by a loss or poor performance.
Try sticking to topics we can all discuss and enjoy, and let the Fedor chips fall where they may, my friend.
As for Curran, I’m He11a glad to see him in a batter situation, and signed for a fight that he has a fair chance of winning.
And as I’ve said before, making your debut on Strikeforce’s big CBS coming out party doesn’t exactly suck out loud…
Honestly, I think you’d be hard pressed to find a fighter with a 4 fight stretch that was nastier than his last 4. Almost glad he’s able to take a step back, and I’m not slighting his opponent either.
