Did one of the Team Rashaad guys just say “we’re 10-0, we’re trying to get to 11-0″?!?!?
Did anyone else hear that?
Yep, it was referring to Schoonover’s 10-0 record, saying it’d improve to 11-0 if he wins his fight.
Ahhhhh…..I thought maybe it was an editing miscue, and (conspiracy theory) maybe Rashaad’s team actually went 10-0 and they put that clip in by mistake.
VERY quick on the INCREDIBLE answer…..that’s why the Frenzy rules!
No problem. They couldn’t go 10-0 anyways. 8-0 is the best they can do, because if they sweep the openers then they’d have to fight one another, guaranteeing a win and loss in each quarterfinal.
hERE COMES THE FIGHT
Gotta love caps lock
Lolz.
wow, you’re 2-0…
by the way…the warm-up / “titties” montage was the funniest thing in the history of the show. There’s only 9 minutes left…no fight yet. Must be a quick KO…
guess it was…
by the way…zak had bigger titties in the fight…
LOL. That’s exactly what I was thinking. Zak had flabbier titties, and was getting teed off on with punches by Schoonover.
Maybe Marcus Jones can get a win for Rampage.
Whats the deal with 1 prelim fight left? But there are still 2 guys on each team that need to fight?
The preview for next week said the final two matchups are set (once the next one’s picked, the last one’s set as well) with the seventh fight next Wednesday and the final opening round bout in two weeks.
Ahhh thanks guess I wasn’t paying attention! Thanks
Team Rampage is a f***in mess…
It looks like they can’t beg, borrow, or steal a decent fight for this season of TUF…
I dunno the first one was pretty action packed.
The first “fight” was Jon “Who?” Madsen throwing some orc-sized IT guy a curb-stomping.
That IMO is not a “decent fight”, but rather a wicked beating, my friend…
Next week is supposed to be “the best fight of the season so far.” Hopefully it will be a decent fight, but saying “the best fight of the season so far,” is setting the bar pretty low. So low I think even Roy Nelson could jump over.
^^I guess i should put a happy face at the end of my jokes. That fight was brutal.
Demico did well in his fight!
Right up until he didn’t do so well any more.
HAHA! Ass.
Didn’t Demico Rogers, a pankration fighter with significant grappling experience, get hooked and submitted in the first round by a self-professed stand-up fighter [Golden Gloves boxer] and former NFLer?
Not to put you on blast, Lex415, but how the He11 is that “doing well in his fight??”
He did well before he got choked! Haha, I retract my statement!
This weeks fight was a tough one to pick somebody to pull for. I wanted to pull for Schoon because Rampage is just pissing me off at this point, but I also wanted to pull for Jensen since everyone’s been picking on him all along. I guess it was sort of a win-win, in the end. And once again Rampage just confirmed just how much of a d-bag he is, to me. On that note, my wife actually watched this week’s episode with me, and even she confirmed that Rampage is a d-bag, and a crappy coach.
I also made an interesting observation, a house full of heavyweight fighters, means a house full of guys that are used to being the biggest guy they know. That therefore means a house full of bullies, and poor Jensen ended up catching the lions share of their bullying.
Rampage reminds me more and more of that fu<ktard in high school who gets real loud and starts yelling sh!t like, "fu<k him up, kick his a$$!" during a scrap, rather than any sort of "coach" or "trainer" of MMA fighters…
He was also probably that one annoying bully that no matter who tried to stand up to him, they lost.
I could not disagree with you more about the “bullies” comment. I dont think most of the guys in the house are bullies. The biggest “bully” on the show is Rampage (not a HW), and the mouthiest one is Rashad (also not a HW).
I think most “big” guys end up NOT being bullies. Here is the logic… Sure you are big and can squash people as a kid, but people dont like to be squashed. They fear your naturally and that hurts most kids feelings. As a result, big guys end up being nicer and less aggressive. Big kids also hate the jokes they endure as kids “Ohh watch our or Larry will eat you” or whatever.
Bullies push people around for attention and whatnot. Big kids dont need any extra attention because they are most often the focal point anyway. Like 99% of the time, people will either try to appease them right offer the bat to avoid confrontation or avoid them.
Growing up, big kids run into other big kids in school. Look back on your high school. Who were the kids that fought and ran their mouths all the time?
Ok /rant off. I am 6′7″, so maybe I am taking your comment personally, but I just havent encountered many big bullies in my life.
I know my fair share of guys that were bigger that were bullies, and guys that were bigger that were bullied. The big athletic ones (Simms, Mitrione, Schaub) were the ones that did the bullying, and were usually football players, or wrestlers. The big fat ones that were not athletic and spent their lunch break playing Magic the Gathering, and Pokemon were the ones that got bullied (Zak and Darril). In regards to Rampage and Rashad, remember that Rampage is as big as or bigger than some of the heavies, and Rashad won TUF as a heavy. Also, speaking as someone that got bullied, almost everyone that bullied me would now be a heavyweight, were they to fight.
The big guys on our football team for the most part kept quiet (except for 1 dude who’s shoe size exceeded his IQ). The medium sized guys and smaller guys were the d’offs who would start fights all the time.
Maybe I just see the world differently since I have always been one of the largest guys around, people generally don’t pick on me or my friends.
Being the small guy, (skinny, not short) I got picked on. It’s a different world being the one that has to prove himself versus being the one that everyone is inherently afraid of because they are big.
Never really understood the whole bully thing.
I wasn’t huge in high school, I wrestled at 191, and stood maybe six foot, tops.
When I wasn’t working at 1 of 3 part-time jobs I had in high school, struggling thru trigonometry and trying to recall who Millard Fillmore’s Secretary of War was [Charles Conrad], I was busy trying to scam some of my old man’s Heinekens from the beer fridge in the garage, pay for my first Jeep, and get sweaty with as many girls out in the desert as humanly possible before graduation.
I don’t know where I would have found the time to make some small kid’s day any more sucky…
Schoonover is a great fighter. Right when the show started, I assumed he would advance to the semifinals regardless of who he fought in his preliminary fight. So goodjob to him.
I think Jensen showed that even if your the last pick, you can still put up a great fight, and possibly even win. He also showed that you cant quit when your in the octagon (he didnt tap and as he was being choked out he kept trying to do some GnP).
Alot of people are forgetting about Scott Junk. I think he is one of the best, if not the best, fighter on Team Rampage. He lived and trained with BJ Penn for a while. So you know he has skills. Especially some bjj and boxing. If anyone is going to get a win for Team Rampage, I think it will be him.
Dont get me wrong, Marcus Jones is a beast. I would definitely slate him as the favorite against whomever he fights in his upcoming fight on the show. The guy is a beast with a HUGE strength and reach advantage. But if someone can survive through the first round, I think they could beat him. His cardio is very questionable. Other than that, I think he should manhandle his opponent.
Good call on Scott Junk.
I’ve seen the guy fight, and have met him twice at Hawaiian Fight Gear promo events, and he’s very cool, very laid back, and has a great rep in the Islands.
He also has a limited skillset, mediocre cardio, and at times hasn’t seemed that dedicated to MMA, at least the level of dedication required to fight at the UFC level…
Oh and I think its safe to say that Rampage is an absolutely horrible coach. But i believe he isnt the kind of person who can coach people. He can only coach himself, he only motivates himself, for his own fights.
Rampage is a funny guy, he jokes around alot which gets annoying, but he is still one of my favorite fighters. Because when he steps in that cage to fight, you have to admire his composure and his boxing skills.
Wow come to think about it I think I knew darrill from elementary school. I didn’t realize it til I was a the bar tonight and someone I knew said he was from my town. I looked close and it did look like a darrill I used to know in elementary. If it’s the same one he got his butt kicked by a girl in 3rd grade lol.
For future reference, can we keep the spoilers out of the front page summaries? I haven’t watched yet and already saw a pretty full summary, without ever clicking to read the article.
So what [or who] were you DOING at 10pm last night that you couldn’t peep the show, some saucy server from your local BWW?
Finishing up one of my bowling leagues, actually. And not even doing well.
Idk who to root for now. Rampage is funny but hes getting just as (or more) annoying as Rashad and it seems like Rashads the adult in some of these convos.
I mite be wrong but during Rampage and titties lil tit (hee hee) for tat during fight announcement did titties say he was gonna “fu<k Rashad in his a$$"? I miteve misheard through the bleeps but i was very concerned for Rampages backside.
I thought Rampage said he was going to “tit f…” Schoon. I didn’t hear anything about anyone’s backside.
I can’t help but feel more dislike for rampage as the show progresses.I know it might have something to do with editing but he clearly is not a good coach. He does absolutly nothing to motivate his teem aside from trying to annoy rashard. And someone,i won’t mention any names(dig your own) refered to rashard as the mouthiest one on the show,i’m not a huge rashard fan but you may want to watch it again.Rashard’s done nothing but stick up for his and rampage’s guys. The only time he’s got mouthy is when rampage is running his.
Agreed. Rampage starts sh*t all the time, Rashad sticks up for his guys and makes a joke here or there. He disses Rampage because Rampage acts like such a dick and has since the show started
For me that was the best fight of the Season, but that’s because I used to train in the same gym as Darill. I knew he had some serious striking ability and would beat who ever he fought in the first round. I was kind of hoping Kimbo would get to step in just so Darill would get more publicity in beating him.
I will say that when I knew Darill he fought at 205 and that seemed like a lot better weight class for him.
