He should have focused more on coaching his team rather than fooling around like one of the guys. I do not understand why he decided to to the show, it doesn’t seem like its his forte.

Although we could question rampages coaching, he has a great sense of humor, and that is why we watch the show. I hope he beats rashad at the end of the season. Rampage seems to be a guy we could all hang out with.

Doesn’t look borderline to me. Looks as clear cut as it gets. So Rashad is a worse coach because he won’t let a guy ice his shoulder, but he’s coaching two teams after each fight because Rampage is too busy looking all-crazy eyed at some truck that doesn’t have his picture on it? It’s plain bashing when there is nothing to back up saying Rashad sucks as a fighter, as a coach, and as a person. If that ain’t bashing, there has never been an incident of bashing on here – either personal or fighter.

Hell, I consider Rampage a joke as a fighter for the same reason I consider Cung Le a joke: he’d rather go act in some B movie crapfest than fight. I can’t even seriously consider him a fighter now. At least I have a concrete reason, other than “I don’t like him wah”. And THAT was borderline fighter bashing.

Rashad Evans is a joke and as far as him being a good coach that couldn’t be farther from the truth. One of his guys is asking to ice down his shoulder and he won’t let him, why? Does he really think he knows what is best for this guys body? I wish we could see them fight, I’m sure Rampage would DECIMATE Rashad. I LOVED watching **** talking Rashad getting KNOCKED out by Machida. The “pillows to the face” comment was PRICELESS.

Guys, reality shows are ALWAYS edited to be entertaining and rarely portray the actual events in the light the occurred. I know this as I own a company which produces reality TV show concepts and what Rampage said is very true.

Reality TV is manipulated by the producers to the extreme.. if you arn’t in the industry you literally cannot understand to what extent or most people just don’t believe it. I’m not really defending Rampage just saying what he said holds true for any reality TV show. Producers reserve the right to use any of the footage in any way they see fit.

The nicest person in the world may have only footage of them freaking out put on the air because it is entertaining or portrays that character in a specific way when in reality you have hours and hours of footage that shows that the person is completely different but it never sees the light of day.

It is meant to be entertainment not reality.

Rampage can’t coach for sh!t. He’s also evidently a horrible judge of talent as to who *can* fight (as if taking Kimbo first didn’t make that incredibly obvious).

All of the editing in the world can’t change the facts.
His team is 0-5
He’s left two fighters sitting in the ring after a loss

Notice, he never said “They edited out my going into the ring to check on XXXXXX.” Essentially, by omission, he admits to not going in and checking on his fighters.

The show is called The Ultimate Fighter, not The Ultimate Coach, you’re 1000% correct Rampage. But. A fighter needs a coach to improve. Why else would there even need to be coaches on the show? Why not just take 16 steak-heads, assign them each a number, pair them up tournament style and assign a fight date and be done with it? These fighters are here supposedly because they don’t (yet) have the talent to be in the UFC. It is YOUR job as COACH to COACH them. Do your job. Talk all the sh!t you want about Rashad being a douche, etc. but at least he is coaching and showing concern for his fighters AND yours.

Yeah, I’m sure Rampage actually did get in the cage and make sure that Sims was ok, but they edited that out. And he actually did get in the cage and console Rogers instead of just walking away, but they edited that out. Oh, and Rampage really didn’t leave right before Rogers fight and leave him sitting alone in the locker room, he was actually there the whole time, and they just edited that out. And Rogers is now actually going to train at Wolfslair with Rampage instead of Jackson’s with Rashad, they just edited his conversation at a small time MMA show in Seattle with the guy from MMAScraps.

Oh wait, no, Rampage actually is a terrible coach and they’re just showing us that on the show.
