As the MMA world waits to see what unfolds with Jon Jones, one UFC vet believes the champ should suffer some serious repercussions, if the allegations regarding “Bones” are true.

As you likely know, an arrest warrant has been issued for Jones, following a hit-and-run accident in Albuquerque. According to reports, a pregnant woman incurred a broken arm in the incident, and a pipe with marijuana was found in the car Jones was allegedly driving.

Well, retired fighter and UFC commentator, Kenny Florian, was asked to weigh-in on the developments by FOX Sports 1. Here is some of what Florian had to say (quotes via MMA Junkie.com):

“I think stripping him of the title is appropriate if, of course, these allegations are true.”

“If this is true, there’s some kind of problem going on,” Florian said. “He needs help, and it needs to be legitimate help; he’s not getting away for 24 hours.”

Florian was referring to the fact that Jones tested positive for cocaine, leading up to his decision win over Daniel Cormier in January. After the news went public, Jones entered a drug treatment program, but only spent one night at the facility. The light-heavyweight proceeded to claim that he doesn’t have a drug problem.

The 27 year-old star was also arrested in 2012 for a DWI.

Florian went on to add that he doesn’t Jones should be allowed to fight Anthony Johnson on May 23rd, again, if these allegations are true.

That card, which is set to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, will also feature middleweight champ Chris Weidman taking on Vitor Belfort.
