UFC 186: Demetrious Johnson Dominates Kyoji Horiguchi, Scores Last Second Submission Win

Demetrious Johnson

No, the headline above is not metaphorical, as UFC flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson literally tapped out Kyoji Horiguchi with one second remaining tonight at UFC 186.

Horiguchi kept Johnson on his toes early on with his elusive approach, but as the fight moved into the middle frames, the champ began to dominate the action with takedowns. By the end of the bout, it was clear Johnson was going to cruise to a unanimous decision win, but with one second remaining, he hit a fight ending armbar.

In the card’s co-headliner, “Rampage” Jackson was unable to score a highlight reel finish in his UFC return, but he did out strike Fabio Maldonado for the UD win.
