Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal Inks Deal With Strikeforce

Rising two-division prospect, Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal is reportedly now a part of the Strikeforce stable of fighters. Sherdog says that Lawal will look to make his promotional debut in December, but will be able to continue competing in Japan, where he has made a big name for himself.
Lawal has fought three times at heavyweight, and twice at light heavyweight in his five fight undefeated career. His first four fights were under the Sengoku (now Sengoku Raiden Championship) banner, where he earned three TKO victories, and a decision. His most recent bout was also his US debut at M-1 Global Breakthrough, where he defeated late replacement Mark Kerr.
It is as yet unclear whether Lawal will fight at light heavyweight, heavyweight, or both with Strikeforce.

Good i’m sick of seeing him fight hasbeens like keer.I think he’s a good fighter but i don’t know if he’s as good as his record indicates. This will be a good opportunity for him to prove himself or get humbled.
lawal vs arlovski
Two different weight classes homie.
It does seem that strikeforce has been picking up some decent talent recently. Good for them, good for us.
*I’m sure he will be fighting at LHW.
That’s a bold prediction considering he’s fought more at heavy than light heavy.
Well, I’m a bold man Justin.
King Mor vs Brett Rogers would be a cool BLACK ON BLACK CRIMES fight for sure
The crime would be Lawal getting beaten like Rodney King.
Great pickup by Strikeforce. They are signing some beasts to their promotion and seem to get better and better every week. They just keep scooping up all these prospects and future MMA stars. Good job Strikeforce!
The better Strikeforce gets, in terms of talent and event execution, the better it is for the sport, and the better it is for us.
Also, it helps the UFC to see another promotion polishing up their act.
Hopefully, it will keep them from getting too complacent, and motivate them to stage further stacked events like 107.
And its fortunate for someone like Cung Le that he’s waved off MMA for Hollywood, because a guy like King Mo isn’t likely to be dazzled by Le’s limited punch-kick-punch MMA “skillset”…
is soukajou in strikeforce? i know the moussasi/king mo fight will be very interesting..
I believe that Sokoudjou is a part of what I call the Strikeforce Alliance, but I don’t think that he’s specifically a part of the Strikeforce promotion…
Sokoudjou does not have a contract with Strikeforce, his contract is with Dream, who works with Strikeforce, but I would guess that relationship is a bit more tenuous than the relationship between Mousasi and Strikeforce, where there is an actual contract in place.
