The massive 170 pound French-Canadian, Nordine Taleb, used his forward pressure and dominate takedown attack to pick up a unanimous decision against Chris Clements.
Taleb walked Clements down from the very start and never let his opponent get off with his patented kicking arsenal. It was clear that Taleb had a massive size-advantage coming into the Octagon, and he used his size to power Clements to the mat. From top position, Clements rarely found enough space to get back to his feet. When he did however, it was Taleb that assured he wouldn’t go far as he often attacked with another takedown.
Taleb landed punishing elbows from the top position and had Clements bleeding badly at the end of the fight. Clements had a moment of success when he pushed forward out of desperation on the feet in the final frame. He cracked Taleb with an overhand right, but walked right into another power takedown from the French-Canadian.
Taleb won 30-27 on all the judge scorecards, and moves to 3-0 in the UFC.
