Following Max Holloway’s submission win over Cub Swanson at UFC on FOX 15, the featherweight relayed he wants to scrap Conor McGregor again, and now “Blessed” has told Mr. “Notorious” directly.
Holloway scored an impressive, tap out victory over Swanson on Saturday, and in doing so, he extended his winning streak to six. The last time Holloway was defeated was back in August, 2013, when the aforementioned McGregor decisioned him at UFC Fight Night 26.
Since then, however, Holloway has been steadily climbing the ranks, and on Saturday, he stated:
“I want to beat the guys who beat me and I want that win back over Conor McGregor. He keeps saying the only reason he didn’t finish me is because he had a hurt knee. It’s disrespectful. So, let’s test that. I’d love to fight him again, but I’ll fight anyone any time, any place.”
Okay. We don’t really know if McGregor heard about Holloway’s wish, but the brash fighter did throw a verbal ‘slight’ in the direction of his fellow featherweights, following the event. What did Holloway think of it? Read below.

So. There you have it. Now since McGregor is set to fight champion Jose Aldo on July 11th, clearly a rematch with Holloway isn’t going to materialize any time soon. But, if the 23 year-old Holloway continues to battle his way to the top, then, there’s a decent chance their paths will cross again.
Holloway has also defeated Will Chope. Akira Corassani, Cole Miller, Andre Fili and Clay Collard since he faced McGregor. The Hawaiian fighter was ranked #9 prior to UFC on FOX 15.
