UFC on FOX 15: Luke Rockhold Dominates Lyoto Machida

Luke Rockhold

Luke Rockhold could have a championship fight in his future, as the middleweight contender dominated Lyoto Machida tonight at UFC on FOX 15, and finished the legend in round two.

Machida kept Rockhold on his toes with big punches in the opening moments of the fight, but after the action spilled to the mat, the latter started to take over. Rockhold battered Machida with several punches and a big elbow, and as the opening round concluded, the latter was clearly hurt.

Machida appeared to still be wobbly as the second round started, and not long in, the bout went to the floor once more. From there, Rockhold took Machida’s back and secured a fight ending rear-naked-choke.

Following the headliner, Rockhold called on middleweight champ Chris Weidman to defeat Vitor Belfort, so that he can challenge him for the title at Madison Square Garden. Weidman and Belfort are booked to fight at UFC 187 on May 23rd.
