Video: “The Simpsons” MMA-themed Episode

I haven’t watched an Episode of the Simpsons in a couple years now for reasons that do not matter for this post, but I did watch last night for obvious reasons.
First of all Chuck had one line “That’ll be 25 dollars” (this isn’t the real issue, but you would thin he might have a little more to do with the episode).
Secondly, the episode portrayed MMA in such a terrible fashion, that it probably set the sport back five years. I realize that may be a bit extreme, but it definitley did the sport no favors.
the organization was call the Ultimate Kick Punch Choke Championship, and had the redneck promoter challenge a woman to a fight.
I was excited to see MMA (and Chuck) be the focal point of the show, but was dissapointed at best with the ignorance displayed by the show and will contniue to watch Family Guy and only Family guy when it comes to annimated comedy.
I don’t think this set MMA back at all, nor do I think it did it any favors.
I don’t normally watch the Simpsons, and this got me to, so props to them for that. Next week will be business as usual, though, and I will pass.
Side note: there are other animated comedies worth watching besides just Family Guy.
I did exaggerate about MMA being set back, but I wont exaggerate on this next sentence…
Family guy is the only cartoon worth watching, well Family Guy and Sailor Moon but that’s it!
Robot Chicken is half decent, Aqua Teen Hunger Force is enjoyable, King Of The Hill is still fun to watch, and I personally enjoy Anime, but realize that doesn’t appeal to everyone.

Some of my favorite qoutes from the Richie Rich episode of Robot chicken are, “what’s the sitches b!tches”, “operator connect me to the moooooon”, ” I gots sooo much money I even got my dog gold plated, he wasn’t dead, I just wanted him gold plated and I gets what’s I wants and I wants my dog gold plated…… GOLD PLATED DOG!”!!!!!!! “That’s right I sh!t gold bricks”………… “They say I’m the richest boy on earth, I say why stop there mother fuukkaaa, check it out I don’t MAKE money I POSE for MONEY!!!!!”

Total garbage, why is this show still on TV?
i saw this episode last night on FOX, i enjoyed it but didn;t like the MMA stereotypes, they made MMA look like MMA is still the same as it was back in the beginning, but still i love the Simpsons.
I suppose the flip side argument here could be that any publicity is good publicity, but the sport is past that point IMO.
The Simpsons pretty much shoots on whoever they please, and gets away with it because its a mega-million dollar property, and because a lot of times its funny.
I’ve been told that I’m pretty humorless when it comes to the integrity of our sport, so yeah I wasn’t too pleased by what I saw last night, but honestly even the Simpsons isn’t powerful enough to halt the North American/UK growth of MMA and the UFC, so ultimately whats the harm?
had its funny moments I guess, but it did nothing really except have a nice armbar in there thats bout it…….
i loved chucks fight how the guy ended up breakin his own leg…
come on you guys… take it for what it is… a simpson parody of MMA…
what did you expect from them? homer on TUF heavy weights and beats up kimbo by using his belly to smother him…. o wait that happened in real life… lol
i thought it was funny… it reminded me of andy kaufman when he was doing the “intergender wrestling championship” back in the 70’s it peeved alot of people off but ultimatly it was funny and was meant to be funny… it covered alot of angles from the sport yet at the same time it showed how far off from real MMA it was…
so take off your purist hats, sit back with a bowl of popcorn or a plate of moonwaffles and enjoy the show!!!!
