Isn’t that in itself one of the reasons that some fighters go to SF. Because they don’t have the exclusiveness of contract? Diaz wants to box. Overeem wants to eat horsebutt and schedule fights with like 12 people in a year and fight once. Cung Le wants to be a foot model or whatever. If Strikeforce scheduled all of Alistair’s fights to be in a cage they set up at the local bar they wouldn’t have to worry about him straying off to other promotions…

This thing with Overeem just gets curiouser and curiouser.
Also, if I were an top MMA promoter, I’d be forced to catagorize Overeem as a “flake”, and not sign him for one of my shows, let alone put him in a title match where he could take my belt and then go fight everywhere else EXCEPT my promotion…
