justin it would be great if we could see some of these
I put some up swankcm
Nice to see that Aoki sub HellBoy (again) but this time for the LW DREAM title, securing his spot (imo) as the #2 LW in the world, congrats to him
I thought Minowaman would win via sub, and Soku by (t)ko over Sapp (I do like Sapp but he needs sometime away from the sport)
Warren getting sub’d well ok
congrats to Fernandes
what a happend to DJ, I thought he would win
Saku gets a victory via sub against a boxer, too awesome, who doesn’t enjoy Saku
Sapp seems like a nice guy, but recently he’s unfortunately coming across as one of MMA’s largest punching bags…
i have no idea why jocheam hansin is seen as sp good, i don’t see anything special about him, i wouldn’t rank him even in the top 15 lw
Ask Aoki or Alvarez why he is seen as so good…
Hansen is seen as soooo good because he has fought and beat some of the best LW’s out there. He’s also an exciting fighter with KO power.
Lets see…who has he fought?
Well he defeated Moon Wolf, Gomi, Cavalcante, Uno, Edwards, and Aoki. Last time I checked, if you beat fighters like that, your one hell of a fighter yourself.
Oh and not only did he defeat Aoki (the #2 LW in the world) once. He gave Eddie Alvarez one of the best fights Ive seen.
But yeah, no big deal, HA!
petterson though I don’t especially like hansen u have to give credit where it is due he has big wins over gomi, edwards, and uno top 15 no but special kinda in my book, do I see him beating a maynard or diez or huerta probably not a bj certainly not but it does take somethin to beat the three listed above even if it was years ago
Well the video’s are up in the forum section, if anyone wishes to partake
thanks fr….sorry it just seemed justin has been beating u to the punch lately
orly
Crazy to see Saku back. Love the guy but I don’t know how much fight he has left in him. He has been in so many wars his body has to be hurting. Wouldn’t it be amazing if Saku was only 27? Would be awesome to see him fight in this day and age against top competition at his best.
Good card but i didn’t agree with the last decision.I thought takaya landed way more shots and did more damage. It seemed fernandes won on popularity to me.Nobody seemed to give takaya a chance.I guess they already had there minds madeup.
I have to be honest, im not very interested in the super hulk tournament IMO.
Its awesome to see Sakuraba get a win. Hopefully when he finally calls it quits, he will go out on top.
I was really pulling for Hellboy, but in the back of my mind, I knew Aoki would pull of some submission. And he did…which sucks, but Im sure this is going to set up an awesome matchup with Kawajiri. Now THAT should be a wicked sick fight!
“DJ” got out wrestled in his match up, and didn’t do enough while the fight was standing.
Warren didn’t tap, but the ref said he did. The ref was wrong and the fight should have continued, that was a bummer to watch.
No real surprise on the Super Hulk fights.
Saku did what we thought he would do.
Aoki, well props to him for taking the submission that he was given by Hellboy, but Hansen was winning the fight up to that point. Also important, Hansen may have kicked Aoki in the groin in the process of delivering an up kick that could have ended the fight. The announcer seemed to think that the groin shot was not nearly as bad as was indicated, and the Aoki simply took the time to get his brain to turn back on from the up kick.
Takaya beat Fernandez in my opinion, but the fight was close enough I can’t get mad at the judges for going the other way. Great fight.
On the Warren fight I watched it a couple of times and it looked like he tapped as soon as he hit the ground. It happened real fast and Warren was in a real bad position.
I’m not sure if Minowa can beat Sokudjou, but I hope he does. Once again, he continued after the ref intervened. Just not very worthy of “Champion” status if you ask me. To bad Mousaousi couldn’t be there to teach him some respect.
He did continue after the ref stopped it this time, but it was much less so than the last fight.
Also, Sapp has allegedly complained of an early stoppage, which makes Soku’s actions slightly less atrocious.
well, he was practically attacking the ref, and trying to get him out of the way. But it seemed he realized he should stop since he got so much grief for the last incident. But that’s two in a row, and when the ref steps in it’s over, regardless.
I haven’t rewatched the fight, live it was bad, but not as bad as the Nortje fight, maybe if I re-watched it I would come over to your side more. I do recognize, though, that fighting after the ref stops it is bad, period.
Mousasi may indeed get the opportunity to “teach Sokoudjou some respect” on 7 November when Strikeforce debut’s on CBS…
I think Aoki is getting babied by dream i mean first the incident with JZ. now he got hurt by joachim and the ref jumped in and said he got hit in the groin before the up kicks which they never showed him get hit. The Ref also literally helped Aoki with a takedown when Hansen’s leg was between the ropes the rep lifted his foot during the fight and Aoki immediately took him down. I just think Shinya has great ground skills, but hell i think Nate Diaz could beat him.
On the takedown…that is the rules. You get your leg through, the ref gets it free. Always been that way in Dream.
And there was a nutshot, it’s why Aoki was dropping before the first upkick. Clearly visible in the replay.
The strength of the nutshot may be questionable, but the nutshot did happen, for sure.
Stuff like “leg between the ropes” would be a thing of the past if they’d stop having MMA bouts in pro boxing/pro wrestling rings, and have it in a [white] cage where it belongs…
I looked at the fight also, Sokudjou’s punch wasn’t full strenght and he stopped stood up and said sorry right away several times. To ref, Bobb Sapp and Sapp’s cornermen. Then he hunged Bob and walked away.
Some fighter really lose themselves when they’re finghting. Come back when the fight stops, you never know until we try it.
