Mike Swick vs. Dan Hardy Official for UFC 105; Sobotta-Johnson Scrapped
A welterweight matchup between Mike Swick and Dan Hardy first reported by MMAFrenzy.com on Monday has been officially added to UFC 105, which takes place on November 14 in Manchester, England.
The UFC on Tuesday released the event’s complete 10-fight card.
Joining Randy Couture vs. Brandon Vera, Michael Bisping vs. Denis Kang, and Hardy-Swick on the Spike TV-televised main card will be Matt Brown vs. James Wilks and Ross Pearson vs. Aaron Riley.
A previously reported matchup between Peter Sobotta and DaMarques Johnson has been scrapped from the event, according to MMAjunkie, due to a conflict with Sobotta’s military commitments. Johnson will reportedly be scheduled to compete on another upcoming card.

Many people think Swick is going to take this, but I really believe this is being set up for Hardy to win this fight. I do believe Hardy has what it takes to win this fight. He has great striking(He out-boxed Marcus Davis and he works with Freddy Roach) Hes shown very solid ground skills(Not world class but enough to hold his own), and hes gonna have the home crowd on his side.
This will be Hardy’s second free-televised fight in front of a pro Hardy crowd in less then a year. And since he has great striking, I think with the other big names tied up in other matches the UFC would love to put some hype behind Hardy and hes way more marketable then Swick. Im goin with Hardy in this one.

Dude vera is faster, stronger,younger and frankly has more “tools in his toolkit” (couture quote).

I would have thought Vera had the edge on Couture in this fight but I’ve been let down with Vera in the past. I wonder which Vera will turn up? But I expect him to be a lot faster than Couture. I wonder if Randy’s game plan is to stand or take it to the ground? Should be interesting.
Hardy vs. Swick is a tough one to call really. I would that thought that Hardy was another one of Dana’s “UK favourites” just like Bisping but I can see Swick easily winning this. I would say that Swicks stand up is better than Hardy’s but Ive not seen much of Hardy.

This has absoulutly nothing to do with the fights, but if you read this and STILL don’t like Hardy at least a little bit, then there’s some thing seriously wrong with you.
