Mark Munoz has received a fight for the UFC’s debut card in the Philippines, just like he wanted, as the promotion has announced that “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” will battle Luke Barnatt.
In addition, Bloody Elbow.com is reporting that Munoz has confirmed the bout will be his last. The 37 year-old fighter is in the Philippines to promote the fight and card.
The announcement comes not long after Munoz (13-6) was choked out by Roan Carneiro at UFC 184 on February 28th, which was the decorated wrestler’s third, straight defeat. The former contender’s last victory took place in July, 2013, when he decisioned Tim Boetsch.
Barnatt (8-2) is also looking to get back on track, as the 26 year-old middleweight is coming off split decision losses to Sean Strickland and Roger Narvaez.
UFC FN 66 will go down at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. In the main event, featherweight contender Frankie Edgar will take on Urijah Faber.
