Jason Dent vs. George Sotiropoulos Set for UFC 106
Lightweights Jason Dent and George Sotiropoulos, both former contestants on “The Ultimate Fighter,” have agreed to square off at UFC 106 on November 21 in Las Vegas, according to MMAjunkie.
Dent (19-9), a cast member on The Ultimate Fighter 9 who lost in the semifinals to eventual winner Ross Pearson, won “Submission of the Night” honors at the TUF 9 Finale in June for his first-round submission of Cameron Dollar, his fourth-straight victory.
Sotiropoulos (10-2) was eliminated from The Ultimate Fighter 6 after losing in the semis to Tommy Speer, but has rebounded to win three-straight in the UFC over Billy Miles, Roman Mitichyan, and, most-recently in August, George Roop.
UFC 106 is headlined by Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin and also features Tito Ortiz vs. Mark Coleman and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Luis Cane.

he only lost because tommy poked him in the eye, i don’t like this fight because i like both of them but dent is hard to finish i’m gonna go flabbster (dent) by sub or tko 1,2 or 3
thank you petterson i agree…..I like both but ive met dent in person and even thought about eventually moving to his gym in mentor……..In the submission game they are both pretty even and the standup i dont really see a clear winner…..even though jason is way to small for lw I believe his ability to take damage and avoid being finished will push him through this fight by split or submission (choke)……I mean come on no one has ever finished dent not even tibau or huerta so i dont see george doing it either……dent is tough, durable, has great muay thai and has slick jits….dent pulls the upset imo, even though i truly believe my boy jason should be fighting at 145 or even 135 in the wec
ya dent has a graet chin and is very good at avoiding punishment but he has never won by anything except sub or tko thats why i think he’ll finish george, i’m not sure how, maybe choke like you said, pretty cool that talked to him in person before, if you could move to his gym that would be meantle
They are not even in the ground game…George’s BJJ is light-years ahead of Dent’s.

see scott is just saying george is light years ahead of dent based on maybe like 2 fights you’ve seen and the ultimate fighter.
I’ve seen both Dent and George train, Dent looks likes a scrub but not enough to get sub’ed in the 1st round. Dent isn’t “lightyears” worse than George I dont even know wtf that means.

George is so freakin underrated in the LW division. I agree they both have top notch jits but I think George is gonna take this one UD. Give George some real guys after this fight Dana!!!
I 2nd what scott says… george will dominate him on the ground, dent does have good sub defense and is tough but his jits isn’t on georges level!

George fought Roop @ UFC 101 in a LW bout
He was overweight at 170, IMO. He got rid of his moobs and everything by dropping down. He looked to be in a lot better shape.
