Looking forward to TUF 6, it's been a while

  • Red says:

I thought about this scenario.  Hughes and Serra hate each other.  Serra's top student Joe Scarola is on the show and what if Matt gets the first pick and to stick it to Serra picks Scarola?  How crazy would this be?  I am so excited for this season of "The Ultimate Fighter"!   Anybody else, as excited as I am?

  • Red says:

Anyone have any idea who the favorite is to win the show?  The favorite usually never wins I think, but I am curious to know who is the odds on favorite to win the show.

  • Kris says:

I am excited about this season to Red. That is definitely within the realm of possible based on the picking of fighters last season. I was glad to read the picking of fights will alternate this year to provide us better matchups and likely a better final matchup wise than in years past.

As far as favorites Mac Danzig, Tommy Speer, Ben Saunders, and Scarola jump out at me as the top fighters on the cast based on what I can determine but some fighters have very few (or no) professional fights to go on which makes it very unpredictable. I like the talent on the season and thinks some good welterweights should emerge but I can just hope that some of the fighters are big enough (and talented enough) to jump to the middleweight division which could use the talent.

  • SCOTCYDOW says:

I have seen Mack Danzig and Joe Scarola fight before(not each other). They are both very talented. I don't recal seeing any of the others, but the preview they showed on the pay-per view has me estatic! Personally, I can't wait. Looks like there will be some more fights in the house, I wonder if there will be anyone kicked out of the house, or if Dana will turn his head because it brings in more viewers.

yea im stoked about this season it looks good i heard there was a preview of the season after 74 does any one know where to find the clip and i heard that
war machine was the one that came in as a replacement but we dont know who got hurt

  • FixXer says:

I think Hughes would be the favorite to win….. well im kinda biased cause he is my favorite fighter, but I think the Miletich camp is the best camp as far as training.  I really dont like Serra.  He got lucky against GSP.  I mean cmon…who is really the better fighter…..Serra was…that night.  I cant wait till Hughes gets his belt back, and we see a Hughes GSP III.  I got respect for GSP and I think them two are the two best welterweights out there.  Serra is kinda a lucky loud mouth.  Hughes will put him in his place.

  • SCOTCYDOW says:

As far as Serra's win over GSP, it was legitamate. He would have destroyed anyone that night, including Hughes. Matt Hughes is lucky GSP fought Serra that night instead of him. On the other hand, now that Hughes has seen that Serra can be a treat, he will not take him lightly and win their fight. I don't think Serra gets enough credit though. He is a tough, highly skilled athlete, (who  dismanteled and dominated GSP)

  • Red says:

Thanks for the info Kris.  I was curious to know if these fighters had solid MMA experience.  It seems Danzig is the one that stands out the most.  This season is probably gonna be the best.  These two coaches hate each other almost as much as Shammrock and Ortiz.

  • Kris says:

I think Danzig is the standout as well but it is so hard to judge based on their limited experience. I mean a guy like Roman Mitchyan (an actor who trains with Karo and Manny) could surprise and make a run or be a total flop. It'll be interesting to watch.

  • Red says:

Would anyone be shocked if Serra beat Hughes?  I know I would be.  Matt Hughes, Matt Serra, Josh Koscheck and GSP are my favorite welterweights.  I have a hard time picking sides, when these guys fight each other, but it is fun to watch.
