Since Ronda Rousey is quickly running out of challengers over in the UFC, and Cris “Cyborg” just ran through her latest challenger in Invicta FC, there’s just a wee bit of talk these days about the two fighting…

Yes, after a period where it didn’t look like Rousey-“Cyborg” would ever happen, now things are looking up in that respect. The UFC has reopened talks with the Invicta FC featherweight champ, and “Cyborg” has started campaigning for the bout once again.

Case in point, recently “Cyborg” tweeted out the following challenge, but it was Rousey’s mother, Dr. AnnMaria De Mars, who fired back a response:

As you likely know, Rousey’s mom is a decorated, Judo competitor in her own right. As far as the 135 comment, both Rousey and the UFC brass have said that they’re not interested in booking a catchweight bout with “Cyborg”.  So until she makes 135, Rousey-“Cyborg” will remain just speculation, rather than a fight…

“Cyborg” returned to the MMA cage on Friday for the first time since July, 2013, and stopped Charmaine Tweet in just 46 seconds. The 29 year-old, who has competed in kickboxing during that time, is riding a three fight winning streak in MMA.
