Ronda Rousey dropped jaws throughout the MMA world last night once again, as the bantamweight champ needed just 14 seconds to defeat the highly regarded, Cat Zingano.
If you missed UFC 184, then you didn’t see Zingano come charging out at Rousey to begin the headliner, and then throw a knee. The two fell to the mat, but Rousey quickly rolled into a cringe inducing armbar, which finished the fight.
Not long after the extremely brief bout, UFC flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson tweeted out the following comment:
As a professional no matter how big the fight is or whats on the line you cannot let your emotions get to you. It will be your down fall!

It was a devastating loss for Zingano, who was clearly very emotional in her post-fight interview with Joe Rogan. It was also the first of her career, as “Alpha” had won nine straight bouts prior to Saturday.
Zingano was supposed to fight Rousey back in 2013, but she was sidelined by a serious knee injury and didn’t return to action until last September (when she stopped Amanda Nunes).
UFC 184 was hosted by the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
