Georges St-Pierre “Very Happy” About UFC’s Plans For More PED Testing

The Ultimate Fighting Championship announced on Tuesday that it plans to implement more extensive, random drug testing in the coming months, and one of the sports biggest PED critics is pretty happy to hear the news.

Former welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre has repeatedly stated in recent years that he’s gravely concerned about the use of PEDs in MMA. After GSP announced he was taking a hiatus from fighting, he admitted that the lack of random drug testing, was a reason why he wasn’t sure if he’d fight again. More recently, the Canadian star said he wouldn’t return to the UFC unless a “competent” and “independent” organization ┬álike VADA was brought in to test fighters on a regular basis.

Well, at today’s press conference in Las Vegas, the UFC revealed that it plans to partner with a third party organization, which will oversee much more, random testing. After the announcement, the following posts appeared on GSP’s Twitter feed:
